Hard to do when your schedule is filled with the likes of conference foes such as Charlotte, Rice and Tulsa, or non conference games like Arkansas State and MTSU. We have Arkansas and Mississippi State as our only P4 opponents over the next like 7 years and those will likely be cancelled with the SEC going to 9 conference games. Memphis shows up and shows out for quality opponents but being in the AAC is killing us slowly. If we get passed over again after the likely 2030 re-structuring then its probably over (especially if we get passed over for Tulane and USF which seem to be ahead of us in the pecking order). If we stay relegated to the lower tier the admin will probably just put all the money back in basketball again.

I don’t know why more teams don’t go the FCS route if they can’t compete with DI FBS level. It’ll eventually happen with MAC schools as well. Football at any level still gets interest

This is always the roundabout answer. But if network providers make people carry certain channels like BET or CMT or HGTV, there’s no damn way they couldn’t come up with a viewing platform for more FCS games and tie it into a sports package like they do for other shite. Right now, the cord cutters are even complaining because the streaming services are getting too expensive. The only ones getting fricked are the viewers

Pie in the sky:
Eliah Drinkwitz
Realistically:
Tier A:
Kenny Dillingham
Tier B:
Alex Golesh
Eric Silverfield
Jon Sumrall
Tier C:
Pete Golding (Ole Miss DC)
Blake Baker (LSU DC)
Will Stein (Oregon OC)
That's who I am targeting if I am Scott Stricklin.

This list is so gay that it wouldn’t surprise me if this was Scott’s burner account

If Ryan Day falls short this season, add him to the list.

It's a realistic list based on Florida's past hiring trends. Dillingham would be a great hire.

Dillingham would be a great hire.
