This argument turns sour immediately every time it is brought up. At this point Chubb is better, I think most rational people will agree with that. That doesn't mean that Fournette won't have a ridiculous season or turn out to be the better back in the future bc that is highly possible. I think it is safe to say that both backs have enormous potential and could be two of the best to come out of the SEC in a long time. Teams draft players based on measurables and potential not bc they are necessarily the best at their position at that time, but bc they have the ability to be the best in the future. Frankly, Chubb had a better season last year in pretty much every aspect, and yes he faced stacked boxes all year as well. The title of "best runningback in the conference" is Fournette's to take...in 2015, bc up until this point Chubb has been better. Here's to both of them staying healthy ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

So according to common belief had LF gotten more carries he'd be better than Chubb?
I never said this because it's incorrect. I'm not sure who you're meaning to respond to, but it isn't me.

guess your trying to say Henry couldn't have mustered that 5.5 at LSU last year?
I am saying that since he got 5.7 with the most prolific passing attack in the sec and the most dominant wr since Josh Reed.

LSU fans take a trip to the bitter barn?
I bet you are a creative writing major.
Maybe Pottery a Barn. I've taken trips there.

LOL if you don't think Gurley and Chubb were playign against run-stopping defenses every game as well.
You Dawgs actually had a QB who could throw the ball with a fairly competent offense. Aside of our RB's, we rarely had a prayer.
Personally, CHubb is the man but I think perspective has a lot to do with this conversation considering LF shared the runs with 3 other backs. Either way, both are incredible.

All those qoutes mean nothing. Facts prove that UGA's passing game was way better than lsu's. Your qb was 1st in compl %, lsu was last.uga's qb was 2nd in the entire sec in qb rating, lsu's was dead last.

I don't think you want to bring "facts" into this argument...

Efficiency wise, Georgia was 9th in passing. LSU was 71st. Is that what you meant?
Yes yes this is what I meant. At work and quickly looked at obvious incorrect stats.

Funny how these LSU fans use passing stats to back up LF, while coming up with every possible excuse why the rushing stats that favor Chubb shouldn't count in the argument.

Many of us agree that Chubb was more productive than Fournette last year, and anyone arguing that Fournette was better is stupid.
We only argue that Fournette has as much potential as Chubb going forward. Any rational UGA fan should be able to agree on that because both are very, very good backs.

Booger is an above average back. Chubb is a bad arse. No comparison

If LSU had someone that didn't park in the blue parking places for a Quarterback we would have a better idea at Fornette's capability.

Since Chubb became the starter, Mason had 1 game out of 8 where he threw over 200 yards.
It was no secret chubb was getting the ball, and he was still not held to less than 100 yards in any game he started all year.

considering LF shared the runs with 3 other backs.
Chubb entered the year 3rd string. His first start was game 6 of the year, and prior to that he had 31 carries (an average of 6 per game). He still ran for 224 yards in those games as a true backup. He was also splitting with Sony Michel and Marshall to start the year.
He averaged 25 carries a game in the 4 games in gurley's absence, with the carries declining every game (38, 30, 21, 13). Averaged 167 yards per game in those.
Todd game back (and was our clear starter) for Auburn. Chubb still ran for 144 and 2 TDs as the backup.
After that he carried 9 times against a cupcake and was benched. The last 2 games he averaged 198 yards as the feature back.
My point in posting all that is no matter what Chubb's role was, be it 3rd string, truly splitting carries with others, the first backup off the bench, or the main ballcarrier, he was consistently great all year. LF was not, and looked downright pedestrian on occasion as well.

We're comparing 2 RBs, but actual RB numbers are irrelevant. QB play is the real key. Gua-ran-tee you that if LSU had better QB play than us, they'd move on to saying that defense is the real barometer, since we had a better defense it gave our offense more chances. If LSU had the better defense than us, they'd move on to say that special teams were what gave chubb the edge because he started in better field postition with more scoring opportunities. If that failed, they'd blame coaching for not giving leo more of a chance. Wait nvm they've already used that one.

I think leo has MORE potential. Nobody is questioning that leo COULD end up beign one of the best sec backs in a while.
What we are talking about is the here and now, in summer of 15. Potential is irreleavnt to the discussion of who is the better RB right now. Many LSU fans (not you, rb10) dont' seem to grasp that.
