Definitely a success. AU loss was obviously heartbreaking, but 11-1 + BCS Bowl is preeetty damn good.

Success.

There was a possibility of 2 losses going into the season. Finished with 11 wins, have a chance for 12 and a BCS bowl in a rebuild yr on the O-line. Can't be unhappy about that, regardless of the one that was lost.

I didn't really see us having too great a season this year. I thought there was a greater-than-zero chance we could miss out on a bowl, so I'm glad we made one. Obviously the Egg Bowl was the highlight of the season. It would be nice to come away with at least one win over a Bama/LSU/A&M next season.

We will not be playing in the national championship game. Ergo this year like every other since 1980 is a failure.

Mixed bag. Loss to UT is inexcusable and cost us a trip to ATL, but we did achieve all the things you listed plus got our first OT win on the road against a top 5 opponent.

I don't think USC is in a position yet to say that a 10 win regular season was an outright disappointment.

The UT game was just one of those days where a bunch of funky (if not down right fluky) plays happened that didn't go our way.

I thought it was encouraging to see the defense improve as the season went on and am excited that we lose only 2 starters off the offense.

Hopefully we wont have another herp derp loss next year.

Failure. We had high hopes and a ton of offensive talent. Injuries killed us.

Injuries didn't kill our season. It made it worse sure but our season was fricked from day 1 when we decided to keep Grantham after last year.
Spoiler next year will be wasted as well regardless of how our offense does since we will be unable to stop anyone.

I don't doubt that.

To the OP; you probably already know my answer. I was "delusional" for predicting 8 wins.

Definitely a success. First back to back 8 win regular seasons since 1927-28. Chance to have back to back 9 win seasons for the first time in school history.

The only real disappointment was letting the Ole Miss game slip away. They beat us, no excuses or asterisks. Well, and it does remain to be seen about the bowl. Likely going back to an in-state bowl has a slight taste of disappointment.

Overall, overwhelming success considering we were 2-10 consecutive years only 3 years ago.

It sure had some highs and lows I can say that it wasn't boring at all.

Successful would be a stretch, possibly good with a meaningless bowl victory.

ETA: The Lost Season. I'm still more in disbelief over how it shook out than disappointed, but it has to be considered a failure. If we hold a 13 point 4th Q lead against Vandy and avoid the 1st AU miracle, then I would firmly call it a success given the injury situation. But, as we all know, that didn't happen.

DId you not watch the game? We were down 17-3 close to the beginning of the 2nd quarter, then we scored 21 pts that quater and went into halftime tied at 24.

We came out in the 3rd quarter and got a stop on defense. Then we marched down the field and Shaw fumbled on a draw play inside y'all's 30. That was when the momentum shifted back and we played like garbage in the 2nd half. IMO, if Shaw hadn't fumbled and we went in for a TD that drive, we would've kept the momentum and won...but we didn't and it is what it is.

Well, shite if the SEC refs hadn't fricked UGA over twice in the Vandy game, then that would have been one less loss for UGA as well. However, shite happens and here we are.

I can't say disappointed because the team fought tooth and nail in every game they played. The trolls will piss and moan, but every single one of them would have laid down and died the moment crap went all curvy this season.
