Would you guys rather have a 2019 LSU/late 2010s/early '20s Bama offense with an above-average defense, or an elite, hard-hitting 2021 UGA defense with an above-average offense?

Elite offense is way more fun to watch than elite defense. See 2022 Vols vs 2012 Gators.

Early 2010's Bama defenses wouldn't be able to stop 19 LSU. After Bama beat LSU in the Natty, Nick began recruiting lighter, faster linebackers. Nick was always a step ahead. He saw the game evolving. For their era, those early 2010's defenses were brutal. They mauled teams.

20 years ago, I’d take an elite defense. Today, I’d rather have an elite offense

Elite offense is more fun for sure...especially when you mock them after like Spurrier did...

Elite defense wins championships.
Just need a competent offense to score 20+ and you’re going to win most competitive games.
