Did dear ole Eli bitch out and not finish last nights play calling like he did with the A&M game ? I image he was in tears as Ringo ran it back 79 yards .

Why did you listen to the Alabama radio broadcast of the Texas A&M game?

It was pretty well known and mocked that Gump Gold just sat there silently for 30 seconds, didn't call the play before he started bitching about the Aggy fans rushing the field.

Be respectful. Eli Gold, like our beloved Larry Munson is one of the best announcers. Would much rather hear him than Herbstreit or the CBS crew.

Actually, I'd enjoy hearing his call of the Ringo Pick 6.

Well, I'm a fan of the guy from his NASCAR days so I kind of grew up with him. Maybe that tainted me lol. Obviously, I don't listen to Bama homer play by play but when they play clips of him I think he does a great job.

Eli Gold’s nasally New York style makes me want to punch a baby. Annoying as hell.

Next you’re gonna say most Bama fans don’t even like Bama football that much

Eli is an atrocious play by play guy. He's botched almost every big moment of the last 15 years. His call of 2nd and 26 could have been confused for a 3rd down and 4 in the 3rd quarter of a blowout against Vanderbilt.

That's a pretty standard opinion. Chris Stewart is the perfect mix of homer/solid PxP and should have the job yesterday.

Watch this clip on loop for 4 years and then get back to us.

As far as getting a taste of your own medicine goes, this is but a tiny, pink Baskin-Robbins sample spoon of what we endure every time they show 2nd & 26 from the 2017 NCG.

Now y'all will get to see this one, the 2nd & 18 TD bomb to AD Mitchell and Bowers' untouched TD ahead of every time we play, in the future.

George Teague's strip of Lamar Thomas...one of the most iconic plays in Bama history...he actually called it a fumble. How in the hell do you botch a play like that? There's no way in hell that anyone listening on the radio would have known what was happening until it was explained after the fact.

Buddy, we were on the losing end of the Kick 6. Your gifs can't hurt us.

I can't think of any play from the Saban era where my first memory is Eli's call of it. The only ones of his I really remember vividly are ones with Snake adding in color commentary to it.

I’ve held out as long as I could, but you’re right.

Last night he was terrible.

Actually, both he and JPW.

He can probably name his exit at this point, but it needs to be getting close.
