you're using Clemson's rank after they lost. You think Oregon state will be ranked if they lose to Oregon? how high to you think UCLA will be?

You do realize that I said FSU should be ranked ahead of Oregon, right? Most BSC prognosticators do have Oregon ahead of you once our schedule catches up in the computers. There really is no argument. Oregon goes if they win out. Right now FSU deserves to be ahead.
Pretty much this. It would certainly garner a lot of argument if FSU, Oregon and Alabama all ended up unbeaten.
However, looking at the first BCS standings the only far fetched thing that, right or wrong, could prevent an Oregon vs Alabama final would be a ton of upsets in the PAC12 with Oregon playing many close games while FSU beats everyone else they play like they did Clemson.
Not likely.
You only have to look at the BCS rankings now when FSU easily has the best win but is still only ahead of Oregon because of Missouri creating a gap in the computer points.

I say we get to use UFs ranking before they lost to LSU.

I think it would be an absolute fricking travesty if FSU were left out if they go undefeated. However, it's hard to say that you would go if Oregon and BAMA were undefeated. We are still ahead in the human polls even though you have a more convincing resume. Oregon won't drop in the human polls if they keep winning and they will significantly gain in the computers.
It sucks and thank goodness we have a playoff.

quote:No travesty. They would make a good showing in another bowl but not in the big one if all three of these teams win out. It wouldn't be a travesty considering the last 4 years Bama and Oregon have consistently been the best teams in CFB. Bama with 3 of 4 titles and Oregon in 4 straight BCS bowl games. FSU doesn't have the same 4 year resume.

Say what you want. FSU is for real. They held a good offense to 14 points. 7 of which came on garbage time.

Any team from an AQ conference outside of the Big 10 right now has a legit gripe if they go undefeated. It's been a full decade since 3 teams deserved to be in the MNC and something tells me this will all sort itself out anyway.

Why stop at 4 years? Let's make it 24 years.

Anybody that pays attention knows that winning at Clemson is a big deal. To do it the way they did was impressive. I don't know why the struggles with BC but at the same time Oregon always struggles with WAZZU. Intra-conference games take on a life of their own.

This will sort itself out in 3 weeks, in not, certainly by the end of the year.
Oregon has UCLA & Stanford if they survive those that will impress the doubters.
FSU takes care of Miami & avoids their annual let down game, they're good.
After that they both have conference championships too.
I believe it's unlikely both teams will survive the stretch without a loss.

sorry but LSU has been the second best program more so than oregon...they have just had to play bama every year while the ducks run scores up to influence voters...that conference is a joke besides standford.
oh and oregon still manages to choke one away every year they shouldnt in that weak arse conference

It was a 10 point game going into the fourth and a 7 point game going into the half. Again, Oregon was up by 13 at half and I said we struggled. I just saw USC destroy them but it's no thing.

You're a dumb frick. Oregon is the 2nd best program over the last 4 years? What happened in those four years when you played the actual 2nd best program in the country head to head at a neutral site? IIRC, you got fricking raped. Correct me if I'm wrong.
