Georgia was/is a great job. They had the easiest path to the Conference title game. And when divisions end, they have the luck of everyone being down, and win the league with a slightly above-average team. Put an asterisk by Smart
LMAO!
The ONLY reason Michigan won the NC in '23 is because they didn't have to go through UGA (woulda boat raced em) and the same goes for OSU last year.A healthy UGA sends OSU home.

And it is estimated they will spend 35-40 million for the upcoming season, so don't act like your recruits play for free.
That's not even close to being accurate considering they get 20 million to spend for the entire athletic program.

Coach Bryant said if Florida ever hires the right person we will all be playing for second place. Spurrier and Urban both showed how dominant Florida can be

Texas head coach. Who can't win with that money and that schedule?
Sark would be perennial 7-5 at Texas without NIL and stuff..

Texas has the top 1-3 recruiting ground but has to worry about 20+ teams in our backyard. Oregon and osu have to worry about 3-4 tops.
The job at Texas has a lot of advantages sure but easiest, not hardly

What sad whining in the NIL era.
Did LSU not spend a penny on NIL? The Yankees don’t win every year either. It takes a lot more to win a championship than just the highest payroll

The B1G is so inferior that it kicked the SEC's arse in the last 2 playoffs.
And to think it only took massive levels of cheating by Michigan and an expanded playoff for OSU to finally do it.

How come Alabama wasn't good enough to make the expanded playoffs?
Michigan sucks but a Tide fan talking about cheating?

Yea, and it's only recently that they actually have to play eachother. What a joke the Big 10 is.

If you took a job where you had to win a national championship within five years, it would be Oregon, Ohio State or Florida State.
Those three have the best combo of resources + easiest path year in and year out.

True, but our backyard is bigger than most right? In other words, in terms of proximity of D-1 schools, doesn't Alabama have just as many to worry about (or more) than Texas?
Not smarting off - but just asking.

Because we were mediocre and lost too many games.
