We actually kinda suck for this and wouldn't have the best team. Defense is fricking stacked, no surprise there, but outside of WR our offense isn't very good. We only have two active offensive linemen in the League :ack:

QB: Zach Mettenberger, Ryan Perrilloux
HB: Jeremy Hill, Stevan Ridley
FB: Jacob Hester, J.C. Copeland
WR: Josh Reed, Michael Clayton
WR: Dwayne Bowe, Jarvis Landry
WR: Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon LaFell
TE: Richard Dickson, Robert Royal
LT: Andrew Whitworth, Lael Collins
LG: Herman Johnson, Will Arnold
C: Ben Wilkerson, P.J. Lonergan
RG: Stephen Peterman, Will Blackwell
RT: Joseph Barksdale, Ciron Black

LE: Marcus Spears, Tyson Jackson
DT: Chad Lavalais, Glenn Dorsey
DT: Michael Brockers, Drake Nevis
RE: Sam Montgomery, Barkevious Mingo
WLB: Cameron Vaughn, Jacob Cutrera
MLB: Bradie James, Kevin Minter
SLB: Kelvin Sheppard, Perry Riley
CB: Patrick Peterson, Corey Webster
CB: Morris Claiborne, Ron Brooks
CB: Tyrann Mathieu, Chevis Jackson
FS: LaRon Landry, Eric Reid
SS: Brandon Taylor, Craig Steltz

K: Josh Jasper, Drew Alleman
P: Donnie Jones, Brad Wing
RET: Trindon Holliday, Skyler Green

Good list. I would put Chevis Jackson over Tharold for sure though. I almost like Zenon better than Simon.

Got a strong feeling Mettenberger will be substantially better in the League than both of them. He's already clearly better in college. Perrilloux is there as the backup because of his running game -- he's the only guy from the timeframe listed that was a legit running and throwing threat.

Terrence Tolliver?

Would be on the list if I went to 3-deep at each 3 WR spots (as would Early Doucet and Rueben Randle); could honestly put them in for LaFell too

Whoah, now. People forget how good Jamarcus was in college. Rohan davey too. Their lack of NFL careers make people forget how good they were.

Is this how good they are currently or at the peak of their college career?

probably the best collect of secondary players from any school in the nation over that time frame

Texas:
Quentin Jammer
Michael Huff
Michael Griffin
Kenny Vaccaro
Aaron Williams
Earl Thomas
Aaron Ross

Miami:
Ed Reed
Kenny Phillips
Antrel Rolle
Sean Taylor
Brandon Meriwhether
Sam Shields
Brandon Harris
Phillip Buchanon
Devin Hester

Off the top of my head both of those schools have a better claim at DBU

No they don't. I only listed the best starting five, not everyone worth mentioning. Lately we've had:

Eric Reid
TM
Tharold Simon
Morris Claiborne
Brandon Taylor
Ron Brooks
Danny McCray
Patrick Peterson
Craig Steltz
Laron Landry
Corey Webster
Travis Daniels
Randall Gay
Ryan Clark

Tennessee with Peyton Manning is the obvious choice.

doesn't fall within the 15 year time limit. PM was gone in 1998 and 15 years of football only goes back to 1999 or maybe 1998 if you don't count the present season

the question is

what would you be willing to pay to watch a season of those "built" teams play...

No need for 10-15 years. Give me Jamarcus Russel on the 2011 lsu tigers and we smash everyone.

Probably Tennessee because they would have Peyton Manning as their QB. Florida, LSU and Bama would all have pedestrian QB play at best.

What? 2006 Jamarcus Russel was a beast.

Jamarcus Russell's 2006 stats

28td-8 ints
3129 yards passing
69.8 completion %
167 qb rating.
9.1 y/attempt.
That's a great season.

UGA wins

You could add: Quentin Moses (DE), Robert Geathers (DL), Tony Taylor (LB), Tony Gilbert (LB), Asher Allen (CB), Jeff Owens (DT), Akeem Dent (LB).

That DL is ridiculous, contains multiple Hall of Famers. LB is very good, maybe not the best, but with that secondary behind them and that DL in front, they don't have to be.

Oh, and Billy Bennett for Kicker.

About fricking time someone mentioned Bradie. He's the first one to come to mind on the defensive side of the ball.
