jryanw,

Sorry for your delusional thinking and no, it won't happen the way you want it to.

And so I guess venables had been recruiting sanders for awhile now too even when he was coaching defense at Clemson right? Since if sanders hadn’t gone to us he would’ve probably went to Oklahoma. You need to step away from the keyboard your painting bama fans in a bad light

I’m in my mid 30s and I won’t even remember his name in 5 years. That’s how little he’s feared. I’m just trying to warn you piggies that payback is coming. Saban and Kelly are pissed.

Billingsly was a starter and Sanders was in the staring rotation at LB. those guys both played lots of snaps in the Championship game and then declared for the portal right after the game. You are right. They were planning to leave for awhile because Pittman and Sark were recruiting them. How do you not see this?

Newsflash: Not everyone likes living in Tuscaloosa and playing for Alabama.

If you had to live in Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa, you'd be pissed as well.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad this little picture he’s painted in his head I wonder if he even knows that there’s a thing called scholarship limits in college football

Hahahahaha
Who besides Arkie fans and ESPN talking heads think this? No one is scared of your single digit win coach.

jryanw,

I highly doubt that Saban and Kelly cares about what you think.

How many pages?

Setting the O/U at 3 more until grandma needs to use the phone and your rural Alabama dial up can no longer be accessed.

So since you plan on poaching all these Arkansas players after this season it must mean you plan on losing to us this year no? Or do you plan on beating us, then going after all our players thereby forcing current players out into the portal for us to snatch up again? I mean it can’t be both ways unless you think you can convince about 30 players to be walk ons for the mighty tide!

jryanw,

After years of getting beaten by Bama, I still don't fear you guys.

Who is to say that under the new rules that Saban isn't playing a dangerous game?

5 years ago, it was all good to promise a top recruit a ton of playing time only to have him sit the bench for years with no way of transferring out to a school of his choice without Lord Saban's approval and/or without sitting for a year or two.

Bama should get used to not operating with as much depth as they are accustomed to under the new rules.

I'm seriously not flaming here either but I do expect the NIL stuff to dramatically change the landscape and plenty of it I don't like, as well.

All the prior years of blue shirt, grey shirt or whatever only to ultimately screw the kid over and process him because someone better came along is over for Saban.

Saban has never promised a recruit playing time. He promises them a chance to compete, he promises their parents that if the recruit buys into the program they will be prepared for their next step in life and he promises the players they will compete for championships.

It isn't. I don't expect bama fans to immediately see how big of a problem this NIL and immediate transfer stuff is for them but it is.
So Saban is going to come after our 5 best guys? Then what happens to the kids he buries on the depth chart as a result?

If you don't realize yet that depth was Saban's best asset for all of those championship runs, I don't know what to tell you. And it will be problematic ever keeping that amount of depth any more. It will be for everyone.

Kids want to play and get paid.

you are an idiot if you think Saban is going to be caught off guard by this transfer stuff. He made the comment when these changes were announced that it wasn't going to hurt Alabama like many were expecting.

Ok. Nevermind then.

He let Arkansas post 35 on him. The DL that was in the backfield that whole game were transferred in.

I would fully expect him to say something like that.

Even Berts teams gave him some really good games. The deciding factor was almost always line depth if you go back and watch those games.

Injuries play a role in this game and depth is an incredible asset. It is naive to think any team will be able to keep a superior level of depth anymore after all this

There is literally no way to be prepared. The days of knowing you have a kid for 3-5 years are over. Now more than ever, programs like Alabama are going to be relying on a lot of incoming freshmen to provide depth.

Which is short sighted IMO. I think it will hurt Bama more than others. Simply because players will leave seeking playing time. Gone are the days of a kid redshirting, then sitting for a season. Of course, you will have some who view it as playing for their dream program, but you will have just as many that see the NIL and playing opportunities at other programs and seek those out.

The portal coupled with NIL really levels itself out amongst all programs.

I never said that. I said the top programs in the SEC were going to come for your top underclassmen. If you lose one starter to Bama, one to LSU, one to UGA, one to Florida, one to Auburn and one to Kiffin it’ll decimate your program. PitTits is playing a game I don’t think he fully understands.
