Beautiful campus, getting gas now. Any quick suggestions before I head back to the interstate?

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Normally the "hole-in-the-wall" type restaurants are the best in Baton Rouge. Any family-owned place is going to be a good meal

Scoop a snow cone off the ground and sprinkle AIDS on it.

Chimes is the most "LSU" place you could go
Inga's on Chimes St has great sandwiches
Raoul's if you want a burger
Barcadia is okay
Pretty much everything else right next to campus is going to be chains, though the Canes right there near the Chimes is the original location.

seriously, find a little "general store" right off campus that has a "red barn" type build, and go to the back where there will be ladies cooking.

Chimes it was. Had the crawfish etouffe. Cleaned up my plate with hot roll. Great suggestion. Thanks!
