How strict are the fuzz about alcohol in general on gamedays at Alabama? Should we be worried about walking around with open containers?

Nope, just don't be an arse.

Use a koozy or stadium cup and don't draw attention to yourself.
I wouldn't go walking around the strip at night with a beer can in my hand though.

Just have whatever you're drinking in a cup or koozie and you'll be fine. And as mentioned don't draw attention to yourself by being a loud drunk dumbass. I was there all day saturday and had no problems.

My uncle won tickets from work for the 02 Iron Bowl. He asked me to go along with him. We had to park a mile and half from BDS in a shopping center or something. $30 parking. His reply "motherfricker!"
When we got right outside the gates he pulled out 2 16 oz. can of Miller Lite from his jacket pockets, killed them. I was like 18 at the time so I thought we were going to get in trouble!

Open container, PI, just depends. Just pour it in a cup if. You go to the strip. But tailgaiting shouldn't be any problem.

you're doing it wrong. You can park much, much closer for similar price, or you can park the same distance away for much less.

I wasn't driving. The tickets were free and it was my first game

Park downtown near the regions bank building and jackies lounge...not that far and it's free.
