Was that not always the option?

Yeah...here's the thing. Drink's main issue is there are no fortune 500 advertisement at Farout Field. Schools like LSU and Florida, and frankly almost all other schools in the SEC, pay more than we do, so if you're going to me so-so and always in the middle of the pack, why not be so-so and middle of the pack at a school that pays more?

Congrats on 9-3 and 8-4 seasons and finishing just outside the playoffs every year.
He has shown some improvement like playing a closer game against Alabama and Vandy. It shows he isn't getting blown out like the year before against Alabama and Texas A&M. I am given him the boost of confidence. Drinkwitz is better than having to start over with a new HC.

Dork for sure.
But also a dork who has yet to find a decent QB.
If he finds one (and non renews our OC) then he might start putting some big wins on the board. Guess we will see.

I am seeing progress so far. Next year the team will have a tougher schedule but I do think Drinkwitz will get the team to compete once again.

Y'all wanted to keep him?

Yep if he cans the OC and finds a QB
I’m still pissed he started Pribs against OU though.

He might not survive if he comes away from a raucous David Booth with an L next year.

9 game SEC schedule is going to rough on Drink.
It’s going to be brutal, especially next year.
But it will be tough on everyone.

While I’m not the biggest Dimwitz supporter, I believe this is the best option for Mizzou at this time. A coaching change would likely result in significant transfers and decommitments from both current players and incoming recruits, potentially creating two to three down years before a new coach could establish stability within the program.
A bird in the hand seems to be the most accurate assessment in this situation.

It’s like yall forgot you’ve lost to drinkwitz before with a third string qb.

They are proudly 1-1 against our 3rd string QBs since joining the SEC
