Did anyone else feel last year was a down year? It was almost as if there was a drop in talent and it played out on the field.

It's always a down year for me.. now I just genuinely care less and less about all of the 'top' games too throughout the year. When I was a kid and even in my younger 20s I would even watch the MAC on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

In the state of Texas, absolutely. In Louisiana it was a good year. LSU natty, ULL made it to a bowl, LA Tech beat Miami, Tulane had a good season and got a bowl, SELU made the FCS playoffs (got crushed, but made the post season).

At this point I'd kill to go 7-5 every season.

No
I did think it was a drop-off once you got past the top 8-10

I do think the SEC will get tougher with Tenn and Fla getting better.
I think the hires at Ark, Miss St and Ole Miss will provide more competition as well.
Good thing is Bama is beatable.
UGA can't get out of their own way and will likely have to beat preseason favorite Bama twice to have a chance at playoffs.
A&M seems worse than they were before Fisher, not any better than Sumlin.

That’s just a byproduct of being an Aggie fan

Down and up like a fricking roller coaster. Typical Auburn season.

Well, let's look at the numbers:

2018, A&M = 9-4
2019, A&M = 8-5

Yep, looks like a down year due to a drop off in talent, or maybe coaching...

...For Texas A&M.

It was the greatest year in college football history with LSU winning every award there was, beating every ranked team, destroying aTm and 15-0 National Championship

It was probably a down year for a university that shelled out $75 million for an overrated coach

It’s been 80 down years for A&M.
Just par for the course.

Definitely a down year.
Almost as bad as early 2000's
