Doomsday Scenario Shaping Up for LSU

Lane has put together a good team at LSU. They're playing with a chip on their shoulder. Good for him.
Where this gets messy for LSU is if Lane shows that he is able to take a brand new team and win everything in his path. The man has no loyalty to any program. That has been made abundantly clear.
The NFL will come calling. Lane may well bounce and leave LSU holding an empty bag and looking for a new conference to play in or go the Notre Dame route. Will it have been worth it for LSU to hire this guy who promptly blows their program to hell and then bounces on the first train out of Baton Rouge to go back to the bigs where he can coach with out all of this damn drama?

He can’t have the same control of a team in the NFL. I see him staying college. Does he go to another school? It’s possible but NFL is not his brand.

The SEC is asking the federal court to tell them that they can kick LSU out of the conference. If that happens, the SEC (and thus, the federal court) has no say in whether LSU is banned from post season play or loses scholarships. Only the NCAA can determine that.

You mean the same NCAA that Lane enticed players to sue. And what the SEC is claiming is a lack of Institutional control. Something the NCAA DOES oversee.
