Literally in the OP I narrowed the stats to the best 2 wins

Literally in the OP, you said:
quote:

Alabama and LSU's 4 hardest games are basically a wash

and then
quote:

[Alabama] Top 2 wins Average Ranking- #23, both on the road
[LSU] Top 2 wins Average Ranking-#15 with 1 road game

It's like you ignored your own results when you proclaimed your conclusion in the title. That leads me to believe you wanted to include the top 4 to make it seem more like it's been a "wash".

Whatever, it'll all ply out. No need for you to try to prove that Alabama and LSU have had comparable schedules to date. Your own data says they haven't, even if your conclusion says they have.

2 games doesn’t create your schedule. Everyone in the SEC has 2 tough games

By all means point to a significant discrepancy

What an absurd standard.

LSU has played two teams who were ranked in the top 10 when we played them. One of those games was on the road. LSU won both games.

Bama has played no team in the top 10 or anywhere near the top 10 so far this season.

LSU has been challenged and alabama has not.

The good news is that alabama will be challenged on November 9.

yet you intentionally exclude the AP and Coaches Poll rankings

Well they are shite, so who really cares?

It's funny how people cling to those and act like any team not on that list sucks.

So you played over-rated teams, which is why you need to talk about "when you played them" rather than what they really are.

Most people will make fun of you for citing rankings like that.

But it seems, to me, that Texas A&M kind of sucks and Texas and Florida don’t.

Texas A&M has 1 P5 victory where they scraped by a terrible Arkansas team. Their other wins are Texas State and Lamar. They are not playing top teams close. The goofy algorithms they use in these rankings may make sense by the end of the season, but they don’t right now.

The AP has aTm and SC at 35 and 34 while Texas and Florida are at 15 and 9.
aTm and SC don’t get any votes in the coaches poll while UT and UF hold steady at 15 and 9.

There’s really no comparison between the 4 teams right now, as much as you’d like there to be.

Of course Texas came into the game ranked their first game was against La Tech. Bama would have a “top 15 road win” if they played A&M week 2.

Also Florida would be at best 4-2 with South Carolina’s schedule. They don’t win in Athens, they don’t don’t beat Bama, and they’d have a toss up @Mizzou

I'll do it for him, one is still in the top 10 and the other in the top 15. The team in the top 15 has losses to the #2 team and the #5 team in the country. The team ranked 10th has one loss to the #2 team in the country.

Has Alabama played any currently ranked teams? No. Alabama's most difficult game was against 3-3 A&M last week when they were ranked 24th (now unranked).

A very reasonable argument could be made they could beat UGA in Athens.

What would Texas and Florida’s record be if they switched schedules with A&M and South Carolina respectively?

Florida would have the same record they do now if they had USC's schedule as opposed to the one they have. I don't know why we continue to pretend UGA is better than they actually have been this year, and I don't think anyone would be surprised if Florida beats UGA in a few weeks. Texas would likely also still be 4-2 like they are, dropping games to Clemson and Alabama....unless you think they lose to Lamar, Texas State, Arkansas, or Auburn.

They do not. At best it's a wash at all these positions. At worst, LSU is clearly better at QB and WR.

So Florida with USCs schedule: 5-1 or 4-2 ranked anywhere from 10-25
USC with Florida’s schedule: 4-2 probably ranked just outside the top 25

Texas with A&Ms schedule: 4-2 or 3-3 ranked top 20-unranked
A&M with Texas’s schedule: 4-2 ranked in the top 20

Neat

I’m not sure about Bama but LSU has 2 turnovers from the offense that factor in to its scoring defense, the pick-6 by Brennan and fumble in the end zone by CEH. Without those scores LSU defense would be around 21 with an 18.8 avg.

Texas with A&Ms schedule: 4-2 or 3-3 ranked top 20-unranked

or ranked right where they are right now. They have losses to LSU and Oklahoma an are ranked 15. Switching those to Alabama and Clemson isn't going to change anything.

USC with Florida’s schedule: 4-2 probably ranked just outside the top 25

South Carolina has losses to UNC and Missouri. What's makes you think they have a better record with Florida's schedule?

A&M with Texas’s schedule: 4-2 ranked in the top 20

A&M would have lost to both Oklahoma and LSU and a win would not have been guaranteed against Oklahoma State. They very well would be 3-3 either way.

You're right, very neat.

What? Bama posters have told me that Duke is the second best team in the ACC and has one of the best pass defenses in the country.

Because theyd beat Townson, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Miami. You are aware that Missouri is really really good correct?

If you can presume that Florida wins in Missouri and probably wins in Athens I can presume that A&M beats OKSU in College Station
