SEC will cancel, but Sankey played it right

He will let everyone blame it on the Big Ten and Pac 12

They’re going to cancel basketball and baseball too.

No one will want to spend the money to test in baseball and basketball starts in three months.

Eh, basketball is much easier to manage than football. Not saying it won't happen but they could even delay till after Christmas if they needed to and it wouldn't change that much.

I just think they’re terrified of anyone getting seriously sick while playing a college sport.

It’ll be easier to manage but it won’t eliminate the possibility. Same reason they likely won’t have football in fall of 2021.

It’s beyond moronic. But these university presidents are cowardly cucks who don’t have the balls to deal with the blue check marks

I have no faith in Sankey to make a tough decision...ever. He is hands down one of the most feckless "leaders" on a big scale I have ever seen. He will hide under his desk and simply hope the schools will collectively make the decision to cancel so he won't have to step up and actually be a head decision maker.

Fortune favors the bold. With the NBA, MLB, (soon to be NFL) and other sports (including HS and younger) playing, there is an opportunity here for the SEC. Sadly, it's leader is anything but "bold"

Nah, I think you are just getting too deep into all the negative stuff. If there is no football next year, something got way worse.

Remember how everyone thought that for football this year?

The goalposts have moved to “no virus” or “100% effective” vaccine. There’s almost no way either is the case in a year

We’ve already gone to an all-conference schedule. How do the actions of any other conferences have any bearing on that?

Play our schedule, produce a champion, and see if any other conference does the same. If they do, play them. If not, SEC Champ claims natty.

No, I don't. I always thought there was a decent chance of it getting canceled. I'll be a little more surprised if it happens fully with NFL because that is a little different. If anyone truly thought there was no way college football was not going to be canceled, they were not paying attention.

There won’t be a natty or playoff if all power 5 are not playing. Just a SEC Champion. Thats fine

If no other conference produces a champion the SEC Champ will have every right to consider if a natty.

However I still think the ACC plays, setting up LSU/Bama/UF vs. Clemson

The big 12 wants to play. Bowlsby has been one of the most outspoken about playing football this fall.

Outside of a NC, winning the SEC is the sport's highest honor.

I'd be down with an SEC only season.

So the SEC plays. After awhile it will get boring.

No weekly rankings. No CFP rankings. No heisman

Really nothing meaningful. plus I could see alot of pro prospects basically saying frick it, why risk injury for nothing.

Im all for playing. Letting the presidents decide is asenine in my opinion. frick those guys. But we live in a lawsuit culture and thats all they are worried about.

If these players would have all signed a waiver, we'd be playing
