if you’re looking to win 8-9 games, get a little press for your offense, and never win anything of note.

Some programs are fine with that, and that’s okay. I’m happy for them IMO.

But not at 9 million dollars.

Winning 8-9 games is the top of the mountain for Ole Miss. Nobody is turning that program into 90s Nebraska. So you can easily say “ole miss is a great place to coach, if you’re looking to win 8-9 games, get a little more press, and never win anything of note.”

He’s a good coach, just not an elite coach. Consistently going 8-4 or 9-3 is pretty solid at Ole Miss.

Meh - he has Ole Miss kinda topping out right now. You can’t expect a guy to paint a Picasso with an etch a sketch….

And people wonder why USC fired him on the tarmac at Los Angeles Int'l Airport, not even allowing him to return to his office to get his personal things (already packed up for him) after losing on the road to Arizona.

But, not at USC -- which is why USC said a quick "buh-bye" at LAX.

Idk about you but I've seen plenty of great etch a sketch art.

Same thing I heard when Saban was in the NFL. Turned out that wasn’t true.

And he replaced almost all of his coaches and players in one year. What is Arkansas’s excuse for mediocrity?
