Don't do it LSU

We should know. We made the mistake you're about to make. Most of the coaches you can hire aren't better than Les. The competition has gotten better, and as it did for us, it's been making things a bit tougher for you. But the odds that you get someone better are not in your favor. Jimbo isn't going anywhere, he has a son with a disability who has to stay in Tallahassee. And what other realistic big name candidates are there? I'm telling you guys (and I kinda like LSU myself) to be careful what you wish for. Look at us from 2008-2014. Learn from us, because the similarities are striking, and if you don't nail the next hire you will turn into the next Tennessee.

Lane would stay in Baton Rouge for more than one season.

CLM is a great recruiter. Average coach at best. He wins because he has the talent on the field (see first qualifier). When he runs into a well coached and disciplined team he loses. Just the way it is. We will be fine.

We'll do what we want.

We are learning from you. Yall should have canned Fulmer after 2005. Yall keeping him around too long lead to continued program deterioration.

Are we really supposed to believe Texas and Tennessee would still be powerhouses with Moron Mack and Fat Phil leading the programs?

It's getting so hard to watch LSU games with Miles as coach it's pretty much worth the risk

This thread will reek of LSU arrogance. Funny thing is that before Saban and Miles, they were shite. It will be good for them to go back to their roots for a while.

Firing Fulmer was not the mistake. The dumbass decisions that followed by Mike Hamilton is what drove Tennessee football off a cliff.

What schools lined up to get Fulmer when he was let go? Tenn. doesn't have the recruiting base LSU has. LSU won't win every game with a new coach and we don't expect that.

We weren't shite.
Were we Bama or where we are now? No.
But to act like we were Vandy or Arkansas is idiotic.

I wasn't saying that we shouldn't have fired Fulmer. But we needed to have stuff perfectly lined up for a new quality hire before letting him go. We didn't, and it doesn't seem like LSU does either.

You must be new around here

so you would be ok with winning 8 or 9 games every year and no chance at championships?
