yep it was rarely used if I remember correctly. Saw Junior Brown and the Panic there one time for free. It didn't have seats or benches or anything, just grass. It was scorching hot that day and they let you bring coolers. That's all I remember.

There are absolutely not that many trees on the whole of aggy's campus. much less that little patch outside the beige palace.

Say you've never been on A&M's campus without saying you've never been on A&M's campus.

Don't get me wrong. There are plenty of things wrong with campus including some ugly arse buildings, but lack of trees is not an issue.

The theatre itself at Arkansas is pretty cool, but the surrounding area (the cheap gray dorms) looks like complete, soulless, North Korean dogshit.

Sadly, it looks like LSU wins this one. That looks cool as hell with the established trees.

I agree about the area to the south of the Greek Theater, Founders Hall and Gibson Hall being the only saving grace. We have an architecture school run by people who love boxes, and they get upset if anyone proposes removing any of the mid-century modernist dorms.

Arkansas' Greek Theater dates back to the 1930s. It has large, established trees. It was previously surrounded by large cedars, which blocked views into the place from the perimeter. They removed those when they renovated a few years ago, to open it up and make it more visible from other parts of campus.

LSU's is cool, though. Needs a good pressure-washing.

Yes, at least it was when it was built 97 years ago. Are y'all just getting an amphitheater?

Ours is newer than yours. Only built 92 years ago.

It was overhauled about 4-5 years ago with new sidewalks (ADA compliant access to the elevated stage), repairs, and paint, but its' looked like that since it was built.

OMG! How clever!
No thanks, no interest in hunting down animals to violate. Guess the fAggies that go after hogs have ranked up from the average, sheep loving fig?

We didn't in my time there. That's been almost 20 yrs ago. Theyve done a ton of work and put in new stuff all over campus, we very may and I don't even know it.

But that setup certainly looks badass. Nice work Hogs.

While it was just a covered stage with a nice sized grassy lawn, it was a great place for a concert in the fall and spring. Unfortunately, it was razed some time in the last 20 years to make room for more dorms.

It was near Rose Towers if I remember correctly.
Does anyone have any pictures of it?

It was. I tried to find some pics online but didn't have any success. A swimming pool and the Party Barn were in the same area. Had some good times at the Party Barn.

University of Arizona.

Pretty much any school with an A is going to call themselves UA or U of A.

In Arkansas, it means Arkansas. In Alabama it means Alabama. In Arizona it means Arizona.

College visit in HS and swore I'd never go back. There's literally 1 tree and they give you a whole spiel about how you're supposed to worship it.
