So, as Lew swims off, let me just say that I'm sure LF7 would almost have had as big a day if you'd played Jacksonville State, a much better squad that lost at Auburn last week due to bad luck and poor officiating.
So just feel fortunate you played a god awful auburn team, and not the pissed off Jacksonville State team that had something to prove.

In the continuing efforts to keep this thread alive - AT LEAST to 20 pages.
Let me just say that if there are any documentaries about Fournette in 50 years, he will be sharing it with Ryan Leaf, Trent Richardson, and other busts who had a decent game or two in college, but were exposed in the harsh light of reality.
Kind of a documentary to serve as a warning for others.
Yeah, actually LF7 kicks major @ss, but I would like to see this thread get to 20 pages.

The facts: Chubb is a lot of fun to watch. In an ordinary year he is in the conversation about best back in college. This isn't an ordinary year. This year there is a once per decade back at LSU. In 50 years no one will remember Chubb In 50 years they will be making documentaries about Fournette. Georgia probably has some very fine backs waiting in the wings. LSU does too.
Holy frick.

You guys really are setting the bar at an all-time high for him.
I knew Hershal was great the first time I saw him. Same with Fournette. Early last season I knew he'd be an NFL HOFer.
The Auburn game really didn't move the needle for me. Fournette was usually five yards down field before being touched. That's because LSU's line was traumatizing Auburn's defense. That's a very bad defense! Fournette still showed a lot because of his speed and the punishing hits he delivered in the open field. The measure of a great back isn't 200 yards against a shite show; it's 30 carries for 115 yards against a championship defense.

so you don't think there's a chance? at all? you people have gotten so unreasonable about this.
Yeah, GA fans have to cling to the past dearly, because they haven't done shite in the past thirty years. Bo Jackson was 10x the player Herschel Walker was. And Jalen Hurd is better than both of them.

I've been watching college football with some idea of what going on since 1974. The LSU running game is the best I have ever seen, including when we had our horses in the 90's. I don't think that is debatable. They are the team to beat and it's not really that close.

They rank up there, but LSU's Guice is legit and will build a nice resume to go along with LF.
I will say LSU and UGA are the Top of the class in the league with RB's this season and next for that matter. Frick me another year of all those dudes.

You need to watch another 40 years to figure it out because UGA is right with them on running game.

You mean that game against Wisconsin where he struggled to find the hole?
Listen, Fournette is a very very good runningback. One of the 2 or 3 best in the country if not the best right now. But can we PLEASE pump the brakes on this legend, Hercules, Bo/Herschel talk? He had a good but not great year last year. But all of a sudden he goes beastmode on an absolute dogshit auburn defense and he's the second coming? I know y'all are still riding the high of the game but please put it in perspective. It was one great game. Herschel and Bo were transcended players. Let's just hold off on putting LF in that category, guys.

Only one of the two has had a game rushing for more that 200 (266) yards on at top 5 rush defense.
Only one of the two has rushed for 2000 yards.
Only one of the two has a higher yards per carry.
Only one of the two has rushed for 100 plus yards in 11 straight games.
One of their average yards per game was greater than the others best game for an entire season. (as a starter)
The other had one good game against a dumpster fire D and is now the greatest football player ever
Lets shoot for 30 pages

Not sure how anyone at State doesn't see Darrell Williams as a scary complement to LF7. He consistently put it to State in week 2

Stop livin in the past Baw. Will it make you feel better if I, an LSU fan, admits that Nick Chubb was better his freshman season? Well I do. His numbers were better and he was more ready at that point to be dominant. However, this offseason, all we ve heard (as LSU fans), is that LF7 is the most improved player on the team and we didn't believe it. I can say now that I definitely believe it now, and leonard has surpassed Chubb as the best back in the SEC (Derek Henry - honorable mention). If you don't agree then youre just lying to yourself.

Don't get me wrong LF's performance Saturday was scary good but it was one performance. Anyone can play good for one game. Everyone has almost forgotten Melvin Gordon and he rushed for like 2500+ yards last year (including 400+ in a single game). There are probably more examples of one hit wonders in CFB than people actually panning out. Kenny Trill Hill anyone lol? I think LF is the real deal but he is not going to do that every game, in fact, he might not have another game like that in his college career. Chubb has had highlight moments and monster games in the past too and he will again. I could be wrong, but I'm not.

Nick is the better football player. He could have been a FB/DB/LB/QB and dominated still.
