Does The Florida AD Hate Mullen?

Dan Mullen has been at Florida for three years. He has been successful considering the mess he inherited. Yet, he has never received a contract extension or a raise. The AD has told the coaching staff they will not be getting any bowl bonuses. Virtually every bowl team gave their coaches a bonus, although many schools cut the bonuses in half and some HCs refused their bonuses. Maybe our Gator posters can enlighten us on this.

It’s weird how the UGA posters on here are so obsessed with UF. I wonder if most Georgia fans in general are this obsessed. #Consumed

Its so absurd how entitled ncaa coaches are win or lose. So chad Morris and bo pellini can demand bonus money made from doing their jobs but take zero pay cut for severely under performing?

I don’t believe that’s the case, but I also have exactly zero “contacts” when it comes to this. The reason I would lean toward no is because regardless of what we all think about Mullen’s off the field antics, Strickland knew exactly what he was getting when it came to Mullen based off of their history at MSU.
My guess would be that Mullen is making premium money compared to HCs who don’t have any National Titles. Additionally, all of our coaches have pretty favorable contracts compared to the majority of their peers.
Add that into the loss of revenue that everyone faced this year, and it’s not hard to imagine a situation where this was discussed between the AD and coaches from every sport when it comes to bonuses in the 2020/2021 school year.
I could be way off the mark, just my two cents for whatever it’s worth.

Of course they do. UGA gets a pass because they’re not really relevant in the grand scheme of things, but their fans are awful.

Didn’t Mullen say they treated it like a practice? Nobody gets bonuses for practice.

It’s pretty refreshing to see an AD call a coach out on his bullshite attempts to get a raise. They know that is the place he wants to be the most in college ball and continue to call his bluff on it.

It's about time an AD doesn't fall all over himself to pay an overpaid coach even more money. I don't understand why the ADs at Auburn, USCe and UT still have a job
