Your point is valid but putting teams that are not going to be competitive into the post season to placate University presidents is not making CFB any stronger or better.
The NFL does this every year. Have you seen the Buccaneers, Panthers & Falcons with their schedules? One of the worst divisions in football and one of them has to win the division. Then get their asses handed to them in the playoffs.
For people complaining about the changes in CFB looking more like the NFL, this is what happens

Reading comprehension? "Seems like"

It doesn’t seem like any 7-5 teams want in over 11-1 Big 10 teams.
ETA: Or any other conferences for that matter

Fans of teams. Not teams.
Did it completely elude you that my OP was never meant to be taken literal? I took a stab at being hyperbolic and obviously missed the mark with you.

More than half of the SEC sucks so does it matter?

The current committee is trash and they have no idea what the frick they are doing. The people they are picking for these things make no sense at all.
Just last week people were celebrating that a guy from Arkansas was gonna make some big difference in the committee. Yeah, how the frick did that turn out?

It's the end of November.
Oregon's best win is?
Indiana's big win is Oregon...but who the heck knows if that's actually a "big" win?
You can't just use SOS as a differentiator between teams with the same records. A 9-3 team with a tough schedule absolutely should get in over a 10-2 team that has no big wins and lost the 1-2 legitimate games they played.
Iowa is a 4 loss team...and they're the "best win" for multiple Big Ten teams...it's a joke.

The sad part is Iowa didn’t even play OSU or Michigan this year. And they still could lose to Nebraska lol

Not even worth watching anymore honestly.

But theoretically Oregon can still go 11-1. If they do lose to either Southern Cal or Washington the committee isn’t taking them anyways.

If you have 1 or no losses you are in even with the weakest SOS ever
But with the weakest sos ever most teams would have no losses…the committee can’t grab a hold of this fact….

Guys, you're making too big a deal out of it. Relax, Sankey was assured it was going to matter now, and he believed it so much he signed up to give his conference 8 more losses a year.
Sad part is he probably actually believed it.
