Jason Taylor would tell you it happened differently than Heath Evans' version. Taylor would also tell you that Saban was at the hospital with the player and Taylor for HOURS later that night.

Believe the side that is more convenient to your narrative, though.

My comments have nothing to do with "looking through purple and gold glasses" and everything to do with the overall body of work between Bama and OKSt.

I have more than addressed your points but I will continue addressing them further.

OK State lost to Iowa State -- a team that lost 6 Big XII games that year.

Unlike LSU in 2007, OK State didn't have an extra game -- a conference championship game -- (since you brought it up) to pad their resume.

bullshite. That's just how you feel.

2007 was no different than 2011.

The two best teams were paired up according to the system we had in place.

The only difference in 2011 is that LSU fans were upset because we had to play Bama twice.

I would have rather we played OK State. I'm sure Notre Dame would have rather played Oregon.

But I can be rational and admit the system we had in place paired up the 2 best teams available.

This is obviously an argument that none of us will admit defeat on so I will be rational as well and agree to disagree

Well, maybe it should have been Bama and OK Street. But that is woulda, shoulda, might've logic there. Anyway, the best team played for the title - indisputable.

Probably one of the most rational posts I've seen all day.

Does Saban have a moral compass or is it win at all costs? AJC reports that he has grayshirted another player to get around the rules. He does not seem to care about the mental and financial costs to a kid!

Bozeman was on 97.3 in Bham this morning. This is what he had to say:

-Has known about this for months

-Felt it was a more advantageous route for him to take advantage of his rehab

-Recovering well from his ACL injury. But wants to completely heal before playing to avoid reinjury.

-Solidly committed, no thoughts on going somewhere else

-Final decision on greyshirt was up to him

-nothing concrete on which OL position he'll play

-squats 550 before leg injury, around 400 now

-bench 475

-sports management major

-will enroll in fall and pay his own way

-no negative recruiting from other schools, maybe because he's totally committed

Just like Georgia is "getting around the rules," ie the 25 signing rule, by "back counting" several players.

It is part of rules. It works with the rules. Or would you like a rule that says you can't sign any day other than signing day of your SR year? No Early enrollee and no late enrollees. Sign in Feb or never.

That would be the same AJC that said the NCAA was in Reuben Foster's home?

The same AJC that said just a week or so that Kirby Smart had been hired by the Eagles?

That AJC?

The second you read AJC, you know it is bullshait. In this case, the kid is thrilled with the grey shirt. His ACL won't be healed in time and he gets a full 5 years instead of a wasted one.

However, do feel free to remain butthurt.

For those of you who actually care about the topic we're discussing and aren't just flaming... Bozeman had a severe leg injury this year, which is why he's been offered a grayshirt and ACCEPTED.

Here are the quotes from Bozeman over the weekend:

quote:

The 6-foot-5, 317-pounder has decided to take a grayshirt at Alabama as he continues to rehab from a torn ACL. He adds that he plans on enrolling as a student at Alabama during the fall prior to joining the team in January.

We decided to take the grayshirt. Right now I think that it is the best decision for me. I just want to take this time and focus on getting my knee ready so I can be there in January ready to go. I am going to try and take classes at Alabama this fall, but if that does not work out we will regroup and get things figured out.

“I am not taking any more official visits. I am just focused on getting my knee right and getting ready to go at it."

The kid tore his ACL his senior year and gladly took the greyshirt so he could rehab and be at his best when he starts to play under Saban.

At Alabama, some players want to stay longer and be coached longer by Saban. At LSU, they jump ship early, even if projected in 6th round, just to get away from Miles.
