OU is not our rival. Only Kansas is. That being said, I hate OU. They kept us out of the NC in 2007 and the final four in 2002.

Texas A&M? In real life it was always the "enemy of my enemy is my friend"... but there is a lot of enmity from Aggies on message boards towards OU and the state of Oklahoma.

No there isn’t.

I agree, I think it will heat up fairly quickly. Both very good athletic programs, border states, huge LSU base in Houston. The ingredients are all there.

I think the most likely new "rivalry"

In my experience OU is a lot more tolerable and orders of magnitude less douchey than UTa.

Oklahoma won both women’s games. Texas won both men’s games.

Never saw it coming that Tennessee would become OUs rival.

Case in point. You can't help yourself, because you are a child.

Not if they keep winning. Rivalries are born from a lot of give and take on the field. With divisions biting the dust, all of us are going to see new and different rivals coming into focus. It's a matter of time now before historical rivals go the way of the dodo bird.

Funny how that seems to work ok for Texas fans. It doesnt matter when they loss. Baseball this year is a great example after we destroyed them. Too many Texas fans saying it didnt matter one bit. Guess the last 3 times we have played in Austin dont matter either. Then they finally win a game against Alabama in football and they are crowning themselves SEC champs.

I kinda laugh at it all. As I know what they do not....SEC isnt anything like the Big 12. And thinking all their Big 12 struggles will end by crawling into the SEC, sorry but bad things coming for a lot of your mens programs. Mark my warning to the fan base. Aint gonna be a good year in 2024-2025.

Spot on. And SEC TAMU isn't Big 12 TAMU. This is going to be a fun year to chronicle. 2020's schedule was kinda like that. BAMA had to go through 11 SEC teams to get to the promised land. It will feel a lot like that for the newbies.
