I really don't understand it. My feeling is that they have been welcomed into the SEC with open arms, but from reading their board I also think that some of them are not too sure of the decision that was made.
Our fan base is incredibly excited about the SEC. Where are you getting this idea?

Ummm, it's I-70.
Seriously, I've never seen this amount of excitement from Mizzou fans before. Everyone is psyched to in the the SEC, except for a few idiots and the "I'm old and I hate change." crowd. Ignore them. Oh, and frick the B1G, I've been a fan of SEC schools all my life and couldn't be happier!

Master troll job! Truly. One of the best trolling threads in recent memory!
The OP is full of shite and couldn't be more wrong, but that said...
"I, the Mayor of Troll City, present you, RhodeIslandRed, the keys to Troll City!"

We forget the main reason why Mizzou belongs in the SEC more so than Texas A&M.
Columbia has a Waffle House (actually two). Bryan/College Station doesn't.

Waffle Houses are always reason enough to let bygones be bygones...

There was never a question in my mind that Texas A&M should be playing in the Southeastern Conference. And I have been screaming and hollering for years that Mizzou should by in the SEC - long before many of the Mizzou faithful had even considered such a possibility. I still believe that the SEC is the conference in which Mizzou belongs, but from reading their board have come to the conclusion that some of them have "buyer's remorse."
I know its the offseason and we have nothing better to do but please quite trying to stir up the shite where none exists.
The Mizzou fanbase and administration is OVERWHELMING in its excitement and support of the move to the SEC. You are trying to portray a couple vocal malcontents into a sizable faction.
What you fail to point out is that the ones who do pop up on TB with their outdated bullshite whiny bitch posts are roundly and universally shouted down right away (like IAM4MIZZOU for instance). Its become a running joke.
If that was not the case then how the frick do you explain the newly instituted, first time ever waiting list for season tix that you have to pay $100 to even get on the list? and the plethora of stories such as the one below (from UGA site)?
Mammoth atmosphere expected for Mizzou SEC Opener
“It will be mammoth here. Our fans are so excited about being a part of the SEC. That being the first game is going to make it a big, big, game here. People are talking about it already; rarely do they ever do that. They understand we’re playing a great Georgia team. We understand that. When we switched leagues, that enthusiasm really for that game and from our fanbase in general has been remarkably positive for us.”
As for me I am a first time Tiger Scholarship Fund donor and season ticket applicant and it is 100% because of the SEC. And there are thousands like me. Unlike these crotchety old fricks who want to go back to leather helmets and the Big 6 or whatever.

You have to have at least one Huddle House too.
Posted on 4/27/12 at 12:40 pm to gatorprincess815
You also have to have swamps in your state to qualify for the SEC.
Posted on 4/27/12 at 12:45 pm to TPAWZ
That means my state more than qualifies.
BTW, Why are the off-ramps on the interstate so swirly?

We like swirly things. Have you ever heard of curly fries?

Well, It doesn't make it fun trying to navigate those. make them easier to drive, thank you.

Missouri does have some shitty roads. Better thank Arkansas' though. DWI.
Posted on 4/27/12 at 1:31 pm to BreakawayZou83
Let's be fair...our roads are the autobahn compared to Arkansas highways. those don't even classify as roads, more like trails...
Posted on 4/27/12 at 1:34 pm to mizzoukills
I will say Mississippi has the worst roads in the nation.
Posted on 4/27/12 at 1:35 pm to gatorprincess815
I've never driven much in Mississippi, so I'll take your word for it.
Posted on 4/27/12 at 1:37 pm to gatorprincess815
My only experience in Mississippi is driving straight down I-55 on my way to NOLA. Straight as an arrow. Tall evergreen trees on both sides of the highway like tall fences. It was like driving down a massive corridor. I wondered what was on the other side of those trees...what was Misssissippi trying to hide from the rest of the world? Progress?
