No, why would we want to go to a worse conference?

We're playing at home this weekend and the quiet crowd should be an advantage

Was that picture taken just before Truman tore up that dog's vag?
Posted on 11/19/12 at 2:45 pm to SallyWheeler
Of course not. Mizzou is in the SEC and staying for the long haul. Cultural misfit talk is just flaming silly. The rules of the game are the same for everyone.

Yeah, Truman was experimenting with cross breeding and wanted to donate a new zou animal to the St. Louis Zoo

What an insightful and provoking question! I haven't seen anything like it on the board so I'll have to spend a few days in deep thought and write a few drafts of my feelings before responding. Until then, good sir.
No regrets.
No regrets.

I have been to COMO several times. Eaten everywhere from Flat Branch & Shakespeares, to Bleu & Sophias. Been up and down Broadway, Stadium, Old 63, etc a million times. Walked around campus and visited Cosmo Park several times. I was there last thanksgiving actually. Done it all.
Nice town, but not a bit southern.

Porker once again you are trespassing in a Mizzou thread, I'm guessing you have a lot of built up animosity because you were expelled from Mizzou for being special

You prolly know more 'bout what's Southern than anyone you know of, dontcha?
These folks disagree with you I guess: Southern Living
ETA: To the OP -- No Regrets whatsoever. This season would have been a train wreck in any conference. And don't tell me about the warnings about injuries in the SEC. 99% of our injuries happened before we played our first SEC game.

Why would anyone from Mizzo regret something as significant as coming to the SEC after only 1 season?
Mizzo is going to be fine. Before the season, everyone said it would take a couple of years to get the right kind of athletes in Missouri. I agree with that. Also, the kind of exposure they are getting in the SEC is going to really help the recruting.
Mizzo will be just fine. This is part of the learning process. Did the fans make a few brash statements that didn't go over well? Yes, but what does that matter? A few players didn't make any SEC friends at media day... Who gives a shite?
Why would Mizzo want to stay in the Big 12? That is really the question. Mizzo, along with 3 other programs said it was time to go.
Mizzo here for the long ride.

A magazine using the broadest definition of "south" to appeal to a larger readership?? No way!

This is correct. Not sure if this matters anymore. Morgantown isn't "Big 12ish." San Diego isn't "Eastern." Maryland and Rutgers have nothing in common culturally with Minnesota or Nebraska. This idea of a cultural feel to a conference is a passing idea.
