If Southern is..
1. Black memorials on campus.
2. Had Civil War battles on it's campus.
3. Talks funny as a state.
4. Drinks sweet tea.
5. Is South of Kentucky.
6. Had Race riots on National TV
7. Grew Cotton
8. Mostly rural as a state.

Then Arkansas makes every single mark on that list. Some we should not be proud of as history.

You forgot to mention #9...More Trailers than actual Homes.

Which further proves that Missouri belongs in the Big 10.

Southern Missouri did rally for the South. However, Missouri as a whole state overwhelmingly fought for the North. Columbia isn't in Southern Missouri yet did receive a lot of violence as they state sold off Slave property in Southern Missouri. However, Southern Missouri was outnumbered by a number of 3 to 1 Union in their own state.

Actually really off here the strongest support for the Confederate cause was the SE corner, Western Border and along the Missouri River (known as Little Dixie). Most Ozark Mtn people preferred neutrality.

We're following you? This is a thread about Mizzou correct? I think you'll find most interactions between Mizzou posters and hogface are started inside Mizzou threads and a result of some jackass flame attempt by hognuts here. Much like where we are now.

If it has Mizzou anywhere in the title, you can bet hogcum will be there at some point.

My finger is this close to hitting the RA button for the first time in my rant history. Usually I'm deadset against the RA button, but this trolling has went on far too long.

I'm assuming that the fact that both of our football teams suck is driving the discussion into wether Missouri is southern for the 877284th time.

Here's my opinion. It's not 1865. Who gives a frick. People from the south have since moved to the north and vice versa. Do you think people from Arkansas walk up to people that have moved to Arkansas from Missouri and say, "You're not southern." Of course not. Do you know why?

BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE GIVES A shite.

I think I already tried to convey this very point on page 365 of "Why Fayetteville is more southern than Columbia", a compelling argument that only porkerass seems to give a shite about and actually effects no one.

Our maps are not that different. I said I-44 is a good dividing line in MO. Do you disagree?

I'm not reading through 11 pages - is it safe to say Missouri doesn't regret coming to the SEC now?

Now that Puerto Rico has set the stage to become the 51st State, I would assume that they can lay claim to the title "deep south".

Y'all are northerners now! And since Porker's opinion is anyone who isn't deep south (including Arkansas ) is therefore northern, then Puerto Rico becoming the 51st State would make y'all northerners.

Good. We're now equals. Debate settled.

I agree. I wish I could find a map with B1G school locations. Last year I can remember someone posting one. Columbia,MO was a lot closer to most B1G schools than SEC schools.

I don't know WTF you are talking about.

Link to where I said Arkansas is deep south?

I have admitted 1000 times that southern Missouri is southern. Including in posts right above you.

Why on earth would any Mizzou fan not be slap-happy to be in the SEC? That's a silly question. I am so happy we beat that arse this year though. Bunch of uppity, uber-confident trash-talkers coming from the Northwest. Not all their fans are bad but a bunch of y'all run your mouths incessantly.

Sleeping giant my left sac. stay humble jackwagons! #anchordown

I imagine that's also what you told yourself when Syracuse, a mediocre Big East team came in to your place and took your dignity

So is Kentucky.

With Missouri in the conference every corner of the state can now easily see the Hogs play at UM, Ole Miss, LSU, MSU, TAMU and Vandy.

Syracuse is currently two whole spots above ULM in the rankings. Moral victory for Missouri!

Guess what, you still aren't bowl eligible. But I thought this was supposed to be a "lateral move"...

Before you start talking about us, please remember we have our worst coach in team history and we are paying him $850k. Y'all are paying top 20 to miss out on the postseason. Next year's gonna be fun!
