What were Tate's stats against UTENN and Ingram's stats against UTENN? Same for Kentucky, Arkansas, and Ole Miss games?

I think the point in comparing Ingram to Tate is that their stats are very similar.....

so based on that....as of tonight Ingram will be out of the Heisman race

Tate could be in the Heisman discussion if his team were still undefeated.

I didn't realize his numbers were as good as they are, probably because I've only watched him play against LSU.

against LSU was the only conference game that Tate did not run for at least 128+ yards...

I think Ingram is a great back....would not surprise me to see him be 1st team All Conference at the end of the year

but Heisman?....not this year

next year maybe

This. Hell he does not even lead his own league in rushing. Ben Tate does. And Tate does not run in a run oriented system behind a dominant O-line.

Therefore Tate is better and is going to win the heisman!!

Auburn fans love to ignore the fact that Tate plays on an unranked, 3-loss team. The Heisman typically goes to a player that gets media hype. Given that Auburn is a non-factor this year, so is Tate.

Oh, we understand that. We are just pointing out this Ingram heisman talk is silly. He is probably not even the best rb in his own conference. Maybe not even in his own division. Maybe not even in his own state.

I have not really said much about it, but seriously, Bama's schedule has been VERY soft this year. They have not played a team in the current top 20 all year and their best win was a tight game at a neutral sight against an ACC team that is barely ranked.

Not saying Bama is not very good and maybe the best team in the country. But if Ingram is really good, he needs to show it against the first good team Bama has played this year today.

Who deserves to be in it if he isn't? Sorry Case Keenum but being at Alabama and not being at Houston matters.

I admit that he probably wouldn't have a legit shot at all in a normal year but this hasn't been a normal year, Bradford out, Tebow meh, McCoy better but not great.

This should really be the year that they give it to a defensive player, I know they gave it to Woodson but if he just played defense he would never have won.

My vote is with Tebow. If you could have any player to build your team around, I'll take Tebow.

I would just as soon have Tate or Dixon as Ingram. In fact, you put Dixon on Bama's team and he would probably be better than Ingram.

Tebow just doesn't deserve it this year.

Ingram doesn't have heisman stats. He's one of the best for sure.. but he's not putting up heisman numbers.

If you asked Mark, he'd tell you he'd rather have 70 yards and a win, than 150 and a loss. Dude has character.

Yep... good kid. He'll go far. You'll be watching him on Sundays in a couple years.
