It’s going to come down to whether or not the LSU defensive backs are allowed to play man without getting penalized constantly. If they’re allowed to play without fear of constantly being penalized then it’s going to be one hell of a game.

I would say they definitely do. I think -21 Bama is about right but it's not out of the realm of possibility that LSU wins this one. That being said, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Bama gets in the playoffs even if they were to lose.

The only way you'll be able to hang w our receivers is if you do so illegally.
You may have a couple of NFL DBs, but we've got 4 NFL WRs and an NFL TE. In the NFL the receivers still get open despite double coverage. In no league can the best DBs stick with the best WRs. The best you can hope for is close coverage in order to force a perfect throw. That's where Tua comes in...

Tua will be crawling off field in first qtr bc his poor knee can't take it.

This is literally your only path to victory. It's possible

We would win this game again with Jalen Hurts. LSU has no path to victory.

LSU has 4 NFL DBs to match the WRs and NFL LBs to match your TE. The D-line will get worked though. Bama won’t need Tua to do much. They’ll be able to run the ball at will.

For sure, this is the best D Tua will have seen ytd by a wide margin.

He is insanely accurate. He has never even been rattled.

What I would be interested to see is if one of our DB's made a play and got an int, how he responds.

It is also important our Dline apply some pressure. Letting him have 7+ seconds to throw, he will carve any team up. Can't let him have all day like Tenn did.

That should be interesting because we haven't run the ball much this season compared to usual. There's no question that the strength of our team is the passing offense. We'll see how your DBs can match up

They’ll be no pressure on Tua. He’ll be able to do whatever he wants. My only point was that LSU has the talent to match up everywhere except d-line.

Right.... so you’re acknowledging that you will have to rely on the refs giving y’all constant pass interference calls.
Well now I know what to be looking for.

He's not the type to get rattled psychologically. He's got the mental strength of Tim Tebow - possibly better.

From an objective pov, the only way to beat Tua is to hope his knee is less than 100%, and force him to move around a lot. Bring relentless pressure, and get hits on him.

Tua's knee is the lone weak spot on this team. The coaches don't understand this, which is why they keep running him around in a brace during practice. Before the knee injury, Tua was deadly with his mobility. Now he's just a pocket passer who can't take many hits

Our DLine has been pretty damn good the last few weeks. Rattled UGA quite well. and stuffed MSU...

We actually did fairly well vs UF, but missed key tackles behind the LOS.

LSU needs A+ effort. We certainly have players...

Purdu beat OSU by 30 last night. So I’d say LSU has a chance. They will have to play better than they did against UGA.

I mean, he hasn't really been tested yet in the regard.

He is clearly very mature though. Tebow is a good comparison.

Did you catch the NC game last year?
That was the toughest psychological test he will ever have in his career.

He bounced back from an INT, and one play before his game-winning TD pass, he made the biggest mistake of his career taking a 16 yard sack, putting us in a seemingly impossible situation

Tua does not get rattled no matter what

Not really. He had nothing to lose. He was not the starter that game. Far different pressure than if he was the starter and was down by 2+ scores. He has never had to face that. Ever.

So his biggest mistake thus far is a fricking sack... LOL.

Like I said....

Yeah nothing to lose. Just the national championship in OT. No pressure. Nothing like a regular season game.
