That is literally the only point in documenting records.

I'm talking about comparing things like YPC.

I guess what I'm saying is that nitpicking great seasons/players seems silly to me. I'd rather just appreciate them for what they are.

Aren't you exited for the LSU fans? As the most humble fan base in college football I think they deserve this great achievement that they show us daily here.

He may get enough yards to break the record against A&M alone.

Derrick Henry broke A&M's safety's ankles...

I should just stop right there.

the question asked if A would have more yards than B.

OP gave a scenario. The better way to look at it is clearly overall number of carries.

done deal. remember, LF lost a 90 yd. td run earlier this year because dural was standing 1 foot out of place. he should have a lot more yds already. he will break it easily.

How many regular season games did GA play in Herschel's day? Not flaming, just curious.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't with WKU next on the schedule. The rest of the games are very tough, but he is still capable of beating it by 200+ yards.

if you want to use that excuse, they might as well just say the record can't ever be broken. "Herschel will forever own that record since he played one less game."

Considering Walker did his in 11 games and LF will have potentially 14 I'd say he could probably do it.
Buga will do it in 11, thanks to the McNeese cancellation

Yes. If he stays healthy. Hell Chubb might've too.

he'll need to average more than 114.83 because he still has to go against the Arkansas defense that held him to 9 total yards.

If he doesn't get hurt , he crushes the record.

Yep. They have a better rush defense than TAMU (not quite a great comparison given the opponents, but still 68 ypg allowed is impressive).
