I think he's a better recruiter, but the jury is out on his HC skills.

He does seem to be recruiting really well, if he keep it up like this for 2 or 3 years I may change my mind.

Exactly. If he fails to even better what Richt did, he's gonna be shown the door quick like.

So he needs to finish ranked in both polls only 4 out of 7 years?

nc14 would, so start there. Think of this as Dabo replacing Bowden. No brainer, the changes are already occurring. Be afraid east...wait, what in the hell am I saying.

mUSChamp 2.0 will prove to be a greatly improved mUSChamp at SCAR.

Kirby should do similarly at UGA ... unless you are saying he's going to pull a Muschamp 1.0 ala Florida?

The real insult would have been had you claimed he was going to be a Kiffin or Dooley type hire at UGA. But then again, you're a vololol so I guess you just prefer to forget those recent coaches of yours, huh?

With Chaney as OC, the sky is the limit.

I'm going to say yes because of how much I appreciate not having to stop and think about whether the 't' goes in front of or after the 'ch' any more.

Oddly enough, that sounds a lot like the (admittedly trollish) accusations flung at Saban back in the day despite the fact that he won an NC at LSU.

He's going to come in and have a chance to be successful right away because the East is terrible which could give him solid footing to really build the program on.

The thing is he's got to hurry because UT looks like they will be pretty good for the next few years and you assume Florida will be back. They certainly can not be worse than they have been the last 5-6 years.

What he's got working against him is that everybody loved Richt as a person so if the results are similar, and the results are overall pretty good, some people will be mad they fired Richt for that. The fact he is a UGA guy though will certainly help quell some of that potential discontent.

All that to say if he is at all decent as a coach/recruiter he should have a lot of success at UGA.

Absolutely. He will be given a few years to produce big results, or he will be gone. I have full faith this will happen.

Basically SEC fricked

It's the SEC East.

I love how the other 6 teams in the West love to ride Alabama.

What have any of you done outside Auburn spending 200k in the last 10 years, hell some you the last 70. Just because Bama is great , does not make the rest of you; because your aren't!

I would go with no. A lot will depend on how good coach Mac and Butch turn out. Beside th one year of Spurrier at UF and Meyers time at UF Richt had it easy in the east.
