Currently UGA is sitting at #44 in Total Offense vs Auburn ranking #23 in Total Defense, I think a question can be asked, how much does UGA think they're gonna score on Auburn?

While UGA on offense is average at best, Auburn brings a talented, experienced defense, which is actually tops in the nation in a few categories like rushing yds, TFL and 3rd down%.

Before you scream Georgia St!

Auburn Struggled with Mercer in 2017 in a similar way then turned around and beat #1 UGA and #1 Bama. One of the named teams lost by 30 after Auburn struggled with an FCS opponent, so I dont feel how we played against GSU will have any effect on this game.

If the offense struggles, the defense will put up enough points to win the game.

What is UGA's offense in first halves this season? We've been beating the brakes off our opponents so we have no reason to utilize our offense as if it were close games.

Y'all act like Nix has never played UGA before.

From today's Get the Picture:

quote:

shite, one freak play against a mediocre defense and you’d think Bo Nix has suddenly morphed into the second coming of Johnny Manziel.

Nix has faced Georgia twice before. His passer ratings in those two games — 107.76 in 2019 and 84.67 in 2020 — are decidedly pedestrian at best. This season against P5 competition, his passer rating of 104.03 is right in line with that.

And yet, we’re assured that containing Nix is a key to Saturday’s game. I guess that’s possible. But I’ve got to think that if Georgia State could contain him, Georgia’s got a real shot of doing so, too.

Offensive stats shouldn't register too much. UGA has gotten off to fast starts sans Clemson and by halftime toned it down to Kirby's liking.

They haven't had more than 6-7 healthy at WR all year. Get a couple guys back, UGA scores atleast 28 in this one.

I'll take Bo's 6 TDs and no INTs vs Stetsons 6 TDs and 2 INTs vs crap competition.

Doesn’t appear Georgia State had any issues so I doubt UGA will.

Refs won’t be able to bail you out like they did against Georgia State

I forget that Auburn is "Special" so you know, we are The University of Georgia little buddy, not Georgia State who you needed the zebras to bail you out against.

56-0

That’s what’s coming down the greasy pike for Auburn.

Arkansas will be laughing at you this time next week.

It's not like we play our backups and run the ball to hurry up and end the game or anything

I think the key to Georgia’s offense is Bennett making some plays with his arm early in the game. Auburn will probably start out putting 8 in the box to stop the run and try to make Bennett have to throw. If Bennett can make some plays early, this will change what Auburn will want to do on defense. Bennett is capable of making plays and making bad decisions. The first two drives will set the tone for our offense vs Auburn defense for the game.
