Of course. (Same for any SEC team most likely)

Its Alabama-Oregon. If Alabama gets beat by LSU or Georgia. Then its Oregon-Clemson...

Ohio State??? On what planet does anyone - even the most anti-SEC northeastern media type - think the B1G holds a candle to the SEC? And didn't OSU already have a close, and some say tainted, win on their résumé?

If you REALLY believe that there's a chance in hell that the undefeated winner of the last TWO national championships wouldn't overwhelmingly be voted into the title game, then, my friend, you've earned your description

An idiot makes a lot of assumptions for Bama to 100% get in with no losses. You assume LSU and aTm continue to win, VT continues to win, Georgia continues to win, etc. What if UF loses to FSU and Clemson throttles FSU. What if Oregon kills the remaing opponents in what some consider the 2nd toughest divison. A lot can happen.

Just look back to when LSU got in with 2 losses. It came down to a Hawaii game on at like 1 in the morning. Pitt beating a WVU team and VT winning the remaining games after LSU killed em at the beginning of the year. Bama doesn't want Clemson and Oregon undefeated. Ohio State and Louisville aren't a threat. But Clemson and Oregon could be. There are 2 polls and a computer to win over. It is possible two of the three flip on you. You just never know.

Weird shite happens. Likely, no. Impossible, no. I've seen enough college football to never say never.

Saban doesn't try to run up huge scores. Oregon would have beaten Ga State by 80 or more, left their starters in and run it up.

Is there a Barner here that doesn't think Bama could have put up 80 on you last year?

Many of you here call the man Satan, yet he doesn't try and embarrass other coaches.

One thing I do like about Saban. Miles as well. They do follow the unwritten rules when blasting some poor opponent.

"An idiot makes a lot of assumptions for Bama to 100% get in with no losses."

I'm saying that ONLY an idiot would state that an undefeated Alabama wouldn't be in the BCSNC game.
Why don't you try the old "meteor hitting earth" scenario as a possibility?

If Alabama wins out, they will remain number 1 in both polls by a very large margin. The computer ranking could be bad if all the cards fall the wrong way (i.e., everyone on Bama's schedule starts losing every game), but it still wouldn't be low enough to overcome convincing number 1 rankings in both polls.

It may not be "fair" or whatever, but it really is pretty silly to think Alabama is getting dropped in the polls if they keep winning.

By the way, do people really think voters are that impressed with scoring 70 points on these awful teams? What's the point of running it up past a 5-6 TD margin? If you are up 35-0 at the half, what is really the difference between winning 70-7 and 49-7 at that point? Play the third string and walk-ons at that point and build for the future.

Bama will not lose their #1 ranking unless they lose. Period.

What an embarrassing counter argument. You're comparing the 2013 bcs championship season to a year where there was no national championship and in the heart of the civil rights era.

Stop being contrarian just because you can.

Ga State couldn't even slow down our starting O..Mc Carron could have passed for a mile and 7 or 8 TD's.

Yeldon had what 6 carries? Now what if that had been FSU Oregon or Louisville?

They would have shown no mercy. In an effort to impress the voters.

Somehow, I imagine we wouldn't be hearing this had things gone a little differently in Athens.

To address what I THINK the OP is asking-
yes, undefeated Bama is in the BCS championship game. No-brainer there.

If this was next year's format (top 4 in a playoff), I'd say: Alabama vs Ohio St, and Oregon vs Clemson/Florida St. If I was a Bama fan, this would be the matchups I'd hope for, because Ohio St is the only team I'd definitely favor the Tide against. I think the ACC winner and the Pac 12 winner both can beat Bama this year, and if it weren't for the last few seasons, Bama would currently be ranked 3rd instead of 1st.

Why are y'all letting this guy troll you? Obviously he really could be that stupid, but the odds are much better that he's just trolling. Trust me, if LSU were in Bama's position, he wouldn't be posting this shite.

Yeah, I think it would be Oregon/Stanford vs Alabama in that scenario

Did you mean to imply that beating A&M, LSU, and whoever in the eventual SECCG is easy?

Because when you ask if all Bama has to do is "just win" that's basically implying that LSU and SECCG and A&M were all cake walks.
