Rankings this early in the season are just to sell games. All that matters is they are in if they win out. If they lose another game, they are out.

As long as they don't blow it this weekend, they do not play another road game til auburn. They should go into sec title game 11-1.

I think this is clearly due to respect on the name, and a good win over Ole Miss. However, after that defensive performance against an average offense, I’m not sure we deserve it.

You ever notice how far above their heads a team has to play to beat a BAMA team that's stumbling and fumbling in their
best efforts to lose? Yet, Bama is just 1 play or 1 less penalty from pulling victory out the jowls of defeat... SMH.......

Bama fans DGAF about the ranking until the final one.

Not all Bama fans. I have In-laws from Bama and if they aren’t ranked #1 the sky is falling and they are always worried about where LSU is ranked. It’s very weird to be honest.

Why not?

Until they lose 2, I think Saban has proven that he will have a team ready to compete with the best.

I'll wait until after the Texas A&M-Mizzou game.

Honestly not sure why they are ranked above Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, or Michigan State.

Records against Top 25 teams
Bama 2-1
Penn St 0-1
Ohio State 0-1
Michigan 0-0
Michigan St 0-0

Hope this helps

A&M offense last Saturday clearly was not average. For one game they really took advantage with a good plan and stood up.

How is it you noob Bama fans don’t see this?

Since 2008 we've averaged like 0.8 regular season losses a year. The fanbase just doesn't have a ton of practice taking an L anymore. A good chunk of them don't know how to react when it actually does happen, and just starts wanting to burn it all down since killing things with fire is a totally viable solution apparently

I guess if we lost more they'd have more practice, but I'd rather keep the current state of success and let the others just piss themselves with anxiety once a year

They do not deserve to be number 5 as they will be back in the top 4 today.
