Does anyone really believe they are simply taking the four best teams in the playoff?

Does anyone think if Wisconsin had won all their games including the B1G championship, that such made them better than Alabama last year?

Does anyone think Notre Dame, OU or OSU is better than UGA this year regardless of the outcome Saturday?

Honestly, I'm fine with a one loss conference champion going in over a two loss non conference champion, even if we played a much tougher schedule. But I'm just tired of hearing that it's the four best teams. That's a load of shite.

It should be about the four best teams.

The reality is fans hate Alabama and fear Saban. They want any reason to keep Saban and Alabama out of the playoffs.

They got the best 4 last year. It just should’ve been:

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. OU
4. Clemson

Is this suppose to be sarcasm? Bama is considered a lock by 99% of the commentators regardless of the outcome Saturday and have made every previous playoff.

Yes. They have screwed over "deserving" teams every year. We need a 6 team playoff because 2 "deserving" teams get left out every year.

Does it matter who is the four teams in the playoff? No one cares it is all about the mon ey! Who will bring in the most money is the motto now a days!

Read what he said. He said FANS...not commentators. Lots of fans who are tired of seeing Bama in are trying to justify any possible angle to keep them out if they lose.

What argument does a two-loss team that didn’t win their conference have for making the CFB Playoff? One loss is forgivable. Every team had a bad game. But when you lose twice? I would rather give an undefeated G5 team a shot.

so now Georgia fans are taking the LSU route, discredit the process, therefore, the outcomes won't matter. The committee has always picked what they think are the 4 best teams. They were chosen for football knowledge and integrity and if they can't be trusted then we don't have a college football champion. This is what Georgia wants to happen, then they won't lose anything.

I'm not talking about fans here. I'm talking about the talking heads and the committee spokesperson. The fans aren't the reason Wisconsin would've been taken last year if they won.

My point is that being undefeated and winning a conference championship outweighs resume unless you go and do something like OSU did last year at Iowa or you are so remarkably better than the other teams (a hypothetical one loss Bama this year vs. OSU or OU) that it'd be laughable to say the others should go.

My point is that if UGA were matched up vs. anyone but Clemson and Bama on a neutral field right now, they'd be favored. Saturday will only change that perception if you beat us by 25 or so.

That whole taking the 4 best teams is fricking bullshite. It’s purely subjective and 20 years from now people will be amazed that it used to only be 4 teams. It was 4 teams in the NCAA basketball tournament and can anyone imagine that now? Oh hell no. Don’t even give me the regular season bullshite. Look at Texas OU this year and there have been other rematches which made the regular season moot. Fla v FSU in 96, Bama v LSU in 2011.

Eh.. they'll take best team over record.. depending who it is.

I'd prefer a combination of computer poll and playoff. There will be bias anytime people are involved

Why do you care as a Georgia fan? Just win and you don't have to care about any of the politics.

If you are undefeated you can bitch, but Georgia already lost a game. They need to deal with it.

I don't care if we don't go if we lose Saturday. Honestly, I can see both sides of the argument.

But they need to quit saying it's the four best teams. It's not. Four "most deserving" would probably be better. You could argue then that conference championships change things.

Alabama and Georgia are both one of the top 4 teams regardless of what happens

There is even bias in computer polls.

The computer polls during the BCS era were forced to remove margin of victory from their formulas.

Think about how stupid that is.

If team A plays 6 of the same teams as team B and beats those same teams by 30 points, while team B beats them by only 1 point. It is obvious that Team A is the better team. The computer polls of the BCS era would have them as exactly equal.
