What about the idiot of the forum? How do people treat you?

(You did blow your cover with that last thread.)

MFer never did give me credit for saying we'd suck last year. Dude legit went through our prediction thread and skipped over anyone who wasn't sold on us winning big.

You guys are favored away? That’s interesting. I don’t know who will win bc FSU really upgraded their skill positions, especially WR. Both teams seem evenly matched to me.

2.5 is almost a pick'em. FSU did almost as well in the portal as LSU did.

I feel the same way about A&M vs Miami. No clue how that game will break. The Miami QB is still projected to be a 1st or 2nd rounder.

Aggie should roll on that one. Too much talent, and too good at running the ball.

quote:

Who is y’all’s starting RB or RB’s by committee? To be honest, that is what I feel could be LSU’s Achilles heal. If the RB’s struggle, and Daniels feels he needs to run a lot again. You need a RB to help JD and be that dude.

I actually feel great about our RB's. We return the top 4 guys from last year and add 4 more bodies, including Logan Diggs and Tre Bradford as veteran transfers.

Bradford is kind of a funny story. Signed with LSU in 2020, transferred to OU in 2021, transferred back to LSU before the 2021 season, then didn't play in 2022. Kinda weird.

Logan Diggs did well at ND. Always good to get a proven veteran.

The two freshmenare Trey Holly and Kaleb Jackson. Holly is the record holder for all time rushing in Louisiana high school football. 10.5k yards and 146 TD's. Kaleb Jackson was just clocked at 23.4 mph, and he's 225 lbs.

The guys returning are Emery, Goodwin, Williams, Cain. Solid group.

It'll be committee to start off, I'm sure. Maybe Emery, Diggs, or Jackson will take a heavier role at some point, but if you've got that many capable backs, rotate them.

Not too worried about Daniels. He's put on some good muscle and improved on downfield passing.

I feel really damn good about our offense overall this season. A little more nervous about our secondary. Plenty of good CB's, and that'll work out, but safeties could be a problem, especially when we run nickel.

You guys ever play fullbacks or recruit kids that will play exclusively fullback, or spin the 3rd string TE into a fullback? It could really help open up your running game.

Fullback? No man, Les Miles is gone

Denbrock and Kelly both clearly want to play multiple TE sets. They did it last year with walkons, and it's why they're recruiting so heavily at the position.

Connor Gilbreath is a juco transfer and Mac Markway is a true freshman. I expect to see both of them on the field early and often, especially when another blocker is needed.

We were about 180 yards per game and 5 yards per attempt, and I know that's about mid for the SEC, but it was top third in the country for both stats.

We went out and got 2 FB’s in the Transfer Portal. We usually use multiple TE’s, but we got hit with the injury bug and got thin fast last year. At some point of the season, Max (who predominantly blocks) and Green (pass catcher) we’re out games. Jake Johnson was basically out all year. Bobby has apparently had some RPO’s with 3 TE’s this spring, I think with Max at fullback. I guess that play will be either a heavy run package or some block, they send Johnson or Green out. Will be fun to see what Bobby is creating. We don’t get much news on the new offense.

Well the Aggies, for no reason at all, seem to like to comment in posts that don't have anything to do with them. So maybe LSU is just trying to throw them the bone that they want. Whatever LSU is feeding them, it evidently isn't enough.
