You have to keep in mind that they’re also thinking about what teams would draw good ratings to appease the TV sponsors. Nobody wants to see Ohio State/Michigan again after them getting whooped at home by 20+. They prevented it last year too and that says a lot.

This is a point for Ohio State, not against them.

No they didn't. Ohio State having two losses and no conference championship did that for them.

100% correct. If UGA got beat up in the SEC championship and somehow lost to Ohio st no one except Ohio st and Michigan fans are going to watch the national championship. TCU has a similar issue if they lose the BIg 12. No one wants to see them play.

You played Austin Peay,
you. It’s played at Texas.. you escaped their 2nd team injured QB 20-19, TCU played at Texas with Ewers and won 17-10.
You played ULM, UTAh Sate, and Austin Peay (FCS) at home.
They Played @ SMU, @ Colorado, and Tarleton (FCS)
When it comes to OOC ( other than Texas who they had to play) it’s not even close. TCU had it harder..

In name? Yes.
In a watchable game that will draw eyeballs to the screen? Hell no.

Why are you trying to give TCU credit for Texas as an OOC?
Yes they played them too but that was a conference game for them. Our OOC with Texas+ 3 duds is way better than Colorado(lol)+ 3 duds.
You really are scared shitless of having to play us, aren’t you?

Unfortunately I think they have the best shot of the undefeated teams. Lost bad, at home, and late in the season. But it’s only one loss vs two and they are also a big brand that travels well.
Self inflicted. Saban should have kicked PATs instead of going for two vs LSU.

You're delusional.
The Game regularly brings in the most views in the regular season, getting close to playoff territory.
"No one wants to see that" won't save you here.

No, no they should not. That was embarrassing.

I hope TCU and USC both win freak OS and Bama. Hate USC both but it is what it is.

What the freak you think Bama are the Dallas Cowboys?

The last time the committee gambled on OSU was in 2016 as they had 1 loss and did not play in the CCG. Ohio State lost in the Fiesta Bowl to the Clemson Tigers in an embarrassing 31–0 loss. I doubt the committee wants to make that mistake again.

You got your asses beat for a second year in a row. Regular season tv numbers are shite during the playoffs. They want people besides Ohio st fans to watch the game. You know the best way to draw eyeballs? Put the most hated team in college football in with 2 losses. Everyone will watch and pull against us. It will be great for the tv ratings.

It would definitely makes it easier and I think no one would have an issue with UGA, UM, TCU, and USC all in with that scenario.
USC going to get a lot of hype with Williams now the front runner for the Heisman. Which means Riley will not make it out of the semis once again with a Heisman QB.

I don't care about what OSU did last year against Michigan.
