They’ve already shown they disagree by having Bama in front of Clemson with one lose the last two weeks.

Doesnt matter how much evidence you provide to this board to the contrary, they will continue to repeat the same tired talking points.

Tennessee has to be ahead of Bama. Head to head has to count for something

Everyone who watched that ENTIRE game knows the refs took that game from Bama. The committee knows it too. That’s why we have stayed in front of them. Plus, the committee has always used gambling rules when they look at losses on the road. The committee sees that game as a tie at worst.

I can’t see that happening. They won’t punish UGA just because Michigan won over an overrated Ohio St. Plus, last year will matter. Y’all just beat the shite out of them less than a year ago.

Lots of things left to play out, but losing like that at home in what was essentially a playoff environment when the opposing team was limited with its star player is not a strong vote this late in the year.

If it's between Bama and tOSU for the last spot, Bama loses out on record. Both schools hold similar national prestige. W-Ls will decide it between the two no matter disparity in SoS and SoR.

The only caveat may be on final polls. I could see a narrative being created on eye test and metrics one or way or the other to benefit either tOSU or Bama to avoid a 1st round rematch game. It's a subjective dog and pony show that has benefited Bama and tOSU in the past and may very well again in the near future if crazy unfolds next weekend. It just seems to be what it is for better or, more often, worse.

Doubt TCU gets punished for playing an extra game

This is such a dumb statement that gets rehashed here all the time. The committee and the BSC both punished teams for losing their conference championship and the committee has put in a team that hasn’t played in the sec championship before l(Alabama) and a team that lost the SEC championship(UGA). TCUs resume is shite. That’s why it took them so long to get up to the top 5. USC is our easier path for sure but don’t think TCU gets in if they lose. It’ll probably be a 2 loss Bama and a 2 loss USC if that happens.

Here are some of the info on some of these teams if it came down to an argument at the end to get in. I am guesstimating the next playoff rankings.

TCU: Good wins - (2) #10 Kansas State and #22 Texas
Other power 5 teams with winning records - (2) Oklahoma State and Texas Tech
Losses - (1) #10 Kansas State in a rematch * loss in extra 13th game

Bama: Good wins - (2) #22 Texas and #25 Ole Miss/Miss State
Other power 5 teams with winning records - (1) Ole Miss/Miss State
Losses - (2) #7 Tennessee and #9 LSU

OSU: Good wins - (2) #8 Penn State and #21 Notre Dame
Other power 5 teams with winning records - (2) Iowa and Maryland
Losses - (1) #2 Michigan

USC: Good wins - (3) #16 UCLA, #18 Oregon State and #21 Notre Dame
Other power 5 teams with winning records - (1) Washington State
Losses - (2) #14 Utah both times * 2nd loss in extra 13th game
---------------------------------------

Looking at that I would think the only argument should be is if OSU or TCU should go if TCU loses in their championship game while USC wins. I would say USC even with 2 losses has about as good an argument as Bama does but both should be lower in the pecking order than a 1 loss TCU or OSU.

A 2 loss bama will not get in over a 1 loss tcu unless it’s a 2-3 TD blowout. You have to be pretty delusional to think that.

TCU, UGA, and Michigan should be locks. Insert Oklahoma or Texas in place of TCU and they are a lock. USC loses, they are out which allows OSU to be in.

Should have a better shot than Bama. No 2 lose teams deserves to get in over a 1 lose team

I know we lost but the committee weighs bad losses and good losses. That was a very good loss

What’s your signature win? Ole miss? Miss St? I mean come on, you have 2 losses you do not deserve a shot

Ohio St stopped recruiting defense when Urban “resigned

they have a few 3 stars on their defensive 2 deep. they are the 4th or 5th most talented defense in the country according to recruit rankings.

they just got housed by a team who's roster is about 50% 3 stars.

All true. They have openly said they focus on circumstances of the losses very heavily in close call situations between team rankings.

That said, unless UM somehow gets beat by Purdue, a 1 loss tOSU is almost certainly in if USC loses. Tcu may get hosed if they lose, but I'd hate to see it. They've played a tougher schedule and shown a ton of championship caliber resilience to win games. I think they've earned a spot, unless blown out by KSU.
