Have you seen the LSU Defense?
Yes. But that still doesn’t change the fact that the quarterback position has more impact on wins and losses than any other position on the field and is the de facto leader of the team.

They won that game because of the defense you claim he lacks
Washington is ranked 99th in defense & 185th in rushing offense. The whole team is Penix's arm.

after reading your posts,I'm going to go out on a limb and say you didn't think Burrow should have won the Heisman, either.

If LSU had even a slightly below average defense instead of an all-time historically bad one, the team is sniffing playoffs right now. He has done everything he can short of taking over defensive play calling duties to rally the team. He can’t just blink his eyes and magically “elevate” anything. That’s just not how it works

I think so. And I think Bo Nix is better than Penix. Beck from UGA is being overlooked because he wasn't being hyped preseason.
And, as much as I loathe to say it, because I don't like Deion, his son might be deserving of an invite. Their offensive approach/OL has resulted in him being under pressure constantly and he's still putting up great numbers.

Burrow absolutely should have won the Heisman. He did exactly what I said in my first post, he elevated his team to another level and won a national championship. That year it was pretty simple who should win it. This year it is not as simple.

Think Cam Newton or Jameis Winston turning 8-4 teams into national champs.

I hope you find the validation you're seeking.

I think I've developed a reputation as being a reasonable person, and I can say that I think Jayden Daniels is not the best player in the country this year.

This isn’t an 8-4 team. This is a 4 win team without him Daniels.

Lolwut. All 22 starters for FSU started in the NFL.

If Bowers had not have gotten hurt, he should win it. He's the best player in the country at any position. Probably STILL should win it, but again...as we all know, what 'should' happen with the Heisman rarely does happen.

This may be true. But I think most Heisman voters consider LSU to be a 7 or 8 win team without him. He may win it. If he just obliterates A&M, and he should, it will help him tremendously. I am not hating on Daniels. I already said he is quite possibly the best quarterback in the country. I just don’t think he is the Heisman winner at this point.
Right or wrong, the Heisman voting process is very political and very regionalized. I just don’t see Daniels winning it, whether he is deserving or not.

This is such a simple minded take on the statistics.
LSU’s rushing offense is so much better than Washington’s BECAUSE of DANIELS. He is LSU’s leading rusher and will finish the season with over 1000 yard’s rushing.
On top of being close to equal to Penix in passing statistics.
Penix’s rushing stats for the year. 20 carries for -27 yards.

He's the best player in the country and that's who it's supposed to go to last I checked. I was proud of how the Bama defense defended him but he still got his and kept them in the game for the most part. Not his fault that D is non existent.

Given his current stats and if he keeps that up, Yes!

I agree with this, unfortunately

but I would have to give it to Penix at the moment.
Why is that.... just because of Wins and Losses, and not stats?
