it should depend on quality wins and SOS.

A 3 loss Texas makes it this year too (or should) especially if OSU wins the Big10

If they lose in the SECCG, yes. The same as last year.

If they don't make the SECCG with 3 losses, there might be a 10-15 percent chance.

Shows how stupid the playoff format is.

And they want to make it worse.

and if they lose to UGA, LSU, and Tenn as the OP said their best wins would be kentucky and mississippi state. So in that case, they absolutely shouldn't.

Well, Notre Dame. But with their schedule, there is no way they will lose 3 games.

No they did not proceed to "get smoked". They won the first play-off game at OU.
The better question is what shitty bowl will LSU end up in at the end of this year?

Exactly. I can't remember the last time a major change to the game made it better.

I could live with 6 team playoff, and a 4 team playoff is the sweet spot.

Yeah, 12 team play off letting in the Tulanes and TCUs is kinda sickening. Even before then those guys could somehow squeeze in potentially, too. Still think a 2-3 loss SEC team is generally better than a 1 loss or undefeated SMU or Tulane or whatever. I guess the NIL brings a level of parity now, but some of the committee playoff inclusion decisions are essentially as legit as DEI hires.

Losing 38-8 isn't getting smoked?

"Proceed" would imply, they were immediately eliminated from the play-offs after one game. That's not what happened. Reading comprehension and all.

Grasping aren't you?

I know you're hurting.
Embarrassed by Indiana in front of the entire world.
Losing to Georgia at home.
Realizing that Alabama is entering their "remember when" era.

Hang in there,

I'm not grasping. Just pointing out facts. Yes Alabama was beat down by Indiana but this Bama team appears to be much better than last year's team. Bama's not going anywhere.

What is Tennessee's best win at this point

It would not matter. Tennessee would be a one loss top 10 team and Alabama would be a 2 or 3 loss top 25 team.

More than that, a 4 loss Bama makes it in, over a 3 loss LSU.

The committee knows that LSU market share only purchase chicken tenders from one fast food chain, along with the Walmart brand of corndogs.

They collectively shake their heads, Michael Jordon style, looking at the demographics saying "soft".

Does a 4 loss LSU still make it to Shreveport?
