No, I may be going out on a limb, but what you trying to insiuate is we all strive to be like you and envy the great gump nation. So the answer to that is hell no, I am perfectly happy with the stateof LSUfootball and will be moreso after we kick the gumps arse in November.

That limb you went out on, broke.

I'm wasted right now, and I would like to thank the rant for the entertainment.

Peace.

Hell no. As an lsu fan I get to cheer all year for my team. You can't find a gump after jan. Lsu has 10 sec titles in football, 10 sec titles in basketball, and 10 sec titles in baseball. Get on our level. Also lsu has 25 more national titles than bama.

OP is talking about football success not overall athletic department.

No. I'd rather be a coonass lsu fan and lose every game than be a gump and never lose again. It's just in my blood.

This is why I tell other football fans that Bama fans are the most arrogant and obnoxious of all fans of any sport. Your question makes my argument, if you posted that as a response to a flame... But, No you started the conversation with this.

Or, are you completely satisfied with what your team has accomplished thus far?

Honestly, I'd be a little embarrassed. There's no reason that Ole Miss should have that many championships. We don't have any kind of built in structural advantages like large state population, lack of in-state competition, or high economic product per capita. To have had the level of success that Bama has had would indicate severe character deficiencies in our fan base.

For that matter, Bama is without any such built in advantages as well. The truth is, Bama has had the success they have had because the vast majority of their fan base consists of hapless redneck losers who have absolutely nothing going for them in real life; so they latch on to a successful football team and make that team’s continued success the number one priority in their lives. We could lose every football game for the rest of eternity, and we’d still be better than Bama.

There actually arent a lot of Bama gloat threads on here. Very minimal considering our success.

There are exponentially more 'LSU hey look at me' threads on here. This thread is not why Bama fans are "the most arrogant and obnoxious of all fans of any sport". We are actually very far from that.

I completely expected these responses.

For one, this topic has been made 1000000 times, usually after Bama kicks somebody's arse at the end of the year. And it's funny, because other fans resort to calling Alabama side walkers or start bragging about Alabama being good in only one sport. They face the facts I'll give em that. But they face the facts like a butthurt sore loser.

This is actually a great answer. It makes the focus on the college experience and education, which is far more important.

I love Alabama sports teams, but I love the school more.

As it should be.

I'm actually proud (in hindsight) that LSU sucked balls during most of my time as a student in the early to mid 90s. It gave me perspective that allows me to appreciate where we are today as a football program and the perspective of the real value the university provides to the community. Got a couple of degrees, paid off my loans fairly quickly after graduation and realized a huge ROI on my meager investment.

Would it be nice if LSU had a few more crystal balls? Sure. But I'd be much happier seeing more Louisiana kids get that education they need and the experience of a lifetime at LSU. I'd like to think that other alums feel the same way about their respective schools.
