Do you think Saban is happy or displeased with Deboer has done to his program?

I think he's happy about it. The bama fans that were wanting him to retire after losing to Texas last year got what they wanted.

He more than likely enjoys seeing that not just anyone can come in and win even with a cupboard full of 5 star players that range from 17 year olds to Heisman contenders

He's probably disgusted with college football in general these days. He's happy he dipped when he did.

Watching what players do these days woulda put him in an early grave.

I think Saban is self aware enough to understand that he is one of a kind, so it’s safe to assume he’s not surprised at all that Bama is not as good.

Saban and his wife both seem very happy, he’s getting paid and staying busy and gets to go to and comment on the best games. He probably doesn’t take much time to care about what he he doesn’t have to worry about anymore.

As far as deboer goes, Nick has been been in those shoes so I think he understands what’s happening right now. It’s not his program anymore.

I think there’s feelings different ways but the net is that he doesn’t really care.

I think DeBoer has his hands full with a culture problem at Alabama and it's going to take a while to get it straightened out. Saban had the personality and the clout to keep these guys under control for the most part, but I have never seen so many selfish players on one team in my entire life as an Alabama football fan. Even the older players from the earlier days of the Saban Era are calling this shite out.

It is no longer his program or his problem.

It’s not just an Alabama problem . It will be tough in the new landscape for players to buy in and trust the coach

Nick Saban cares about his legacy and is glad his legacy will remain secure, because, had he stayed, the parity now in college football would have ruined the ending of his legacy. Bama, for years, had others playing on an uneven playing field. Now that every one can play by the past Bama rules, it makes college football dynasties a thing of the past.

He couldn’t care less. He is racing European sports cars, getting paid double what he made coaching and can do whatever the hell he wants. It’s not his problem. He still gets a half million dollars from Bama just to wear an “A” pin on his jacket.

I really don’t think Saban cares. He seems to much like a robot, terminator. I don’t think he has those kinds of emotions

I think he retired. If he cared so much, he would have kept going.

He's human and although he'll never admit it, I expect he takes some satisfaction in the fact that this is the worst start to a season Bama has had since 2007. It just reinforces how good he was.

Is not his program. Saban quit on his team because he couldn’t handle the new system. Saban works for ESPN now and the team
Belongs to DeBoer.

Remember this also, we had 36 players that quit on their teammates just like Saban quit!

Kalen DeBoer is the Alabama coach!

Saban has become way more laid back and likeable post retirement. You can tell his stress level is way down
