Do you try Joey and see if you can salvage this season?

Bo isn’t beating LSU, Bama, or Georgia. No way in hell.

I would've pulled him mid 3rd quarter to look for a different spark but in general I think stick with him

Well we're sticking it out with Gus and eating the next 5 years.

Bo will be fine. Our defense is the best he will face all season besides maybe Georgia and it was in a very hostile environment. He's gone 5-1 with the toughest schedule in the nation...why would you not ride him out for the future

repost

you guys are acting like he's had one bad game and the rest were good. Not so. He's had one good game and the rest were mediocre to bad.

One good game
Miss State 16-21, 335 YDS, 2 TD

Mediocre games

Oregon 13-31, 177 YDS, 2 TD, 2 INT

Tulane (Tu freakin Lane) 19-37, 207 YDS, 1 TD

Kent State !! 12-16, 161 YDS, 1 TD

A&M 12-20, 100 YDS, 1 TD

So bad it counters the one good game
Florida 11-27, 145 YDS, 1 TD, 3 INT

Add it all up and it's one over rated qb that is ranked #92 in passing efficiency, according to ncaa.org

edit to say that the Oregon game was as bad as it was mediocre but I'll leave it.

unless I made a math error or ESPN got his numbers wrong, he's 83 for 152, which is about 54.7 completion pct

So you didn't watch any of those games. gotcha. That's all you had to say.

Bo can't carry this team, but he does have to make the throws to wide open WR's. He missed them Saturday and it cost us. Our ability to run the ball with this OL is dependent on him making those throws.

His completion percentage isn't good, but he's thrown a bunch of balls away this year. Other than some deep routes he hasn't been that bad on the intermediate stuff this year. I would assume he was just letting the game move to quickly Saturday, but one would hope he'll get more comfortable.

I agree with this. He'll have another few games under his belt. And playing at JH is very different than playing at the Swamp in your 6th collegiate game. Not to mentino Gameday, etc. all the attention.

Gus has never recruited and coached a HS QB to consistent success in college and that hasn’t changed.

Yeah he's had a whole 6 games with this one, who's the highest rated QB recruit he's ever had.

See if he rebounds at Arkansas. If he shows signs of struggling again at LSU, pull him.

He hasn’t been stellar. Sucks, but it’s what it is.

As long as Nix is the 'QB of the future', stick with him. It may be tough to watch, but he'll learn and grow. Auburn was never going to win the west this year.

Stick with Bo and let him grow. Switch to Joey and things might get doughy

I think we should stick with Bo. He's not great but he's not sucking because the moment is just too big like JJ. He's just not good enough yet to make the difference in most spots.

I do wish Gus would have Gatewood ready to come in for prolonged (quarter, maybe more) in a close winnable game where the offense is stagnant. That's not because I think Gatewood is better, but I do think a Gatewood offense in the third or fourth Q could be a tough adjustment for a tired defense.

I really hope Gus plans to enter the Valley of Death with young Bo as his QB.

I would love to see the ensuing carnage.

Yeah. I’ve said he needs a confidence boost at Arky. Hopefully he gets that.

@LSU is going to be as loud as the swamp. But we can’t leave him in again and sacrifice the season. After the 3rd and 8 sack where he ran backwards, I was officially ready to pull him. We were down by only 4 then.

I understand AU thinking its best to just take your lumps with him this year but you really gotta be careful you don't completely ruin the kid. A few more games like this past weekend and its very possible he never gets his confidence back to a serviceable level.

Jeremy Johnson was Mr. Football, touted as Cam 2.0 and a Heisman contender. He was a disaster.

Agree 100% and think this is where Gus blew it. I know its a Monday morning QB deal- he's trying to get his guy reps and experience. But he has to know a freshman moment is always around the bend...right?
