The team would have put up these stats the 3 games prior to Bama?

Game stats
Total 624
Passing 228
Rushing 396

Game stats
Total 423
Passing 202
Rushing 221

Game stats
Total 497
Passing 286
Rushing 211

Was it the competition or just the coaching?

We set an offensive record in each game. So yes we believe that.

I get how other fans who didn't have as close a knowledge of LSU as LSU's fans don't see what LSU has changed. It's easy to look at a box score and play distribution and say "they haven't changed." People don't realize how utterly incompetent and simplistic LSU was on offense under Miles. To call it a "pro-style" offense, as people would, could not have been further from the truth. LSU is utilizing different formations and personnel groupings to make it more difficult for the defense to key in on what they're doing. They're also utilizing different sections of the filed that Miles neglected in the passing game. It's not anything complicated, just Miles was that poor at X's and O's.

If you read the article linked below, they do a pretty good job of explaining it. To answer your question, LSU would not have put up those stats under Miles.

Know how I know you haven't watched very many LSU games? To even suggest that this is the same time is beyond ignorant.

Which is funny, because that's all BAMA fans have done. They continue to think this is the same exact team it was under Miles.

Miles should have fired Cameron and/or stayed out of the offense playcalling.

The frustration from Fournette in the Auburn game was the last straw.

If he couldn't see the writing on the wall after last year and had all offseason to try something different than he would still have his job.

The sad thing is Miles used to be an offensive guy going back to Okie state and until the year Jarrett Lee through all the pick sixes.

Go watch the Ohio St national title game and look what he did against a defense that was littered with NFL talent.

Les played to not lose. The team couldn't come back from behind, and basically was built to get a small lead and sit on it.

With Les coaching you were a little concerned. He might, just might pull a mad hatter. Now..

The Herman or whoever talk will start back up sat night.

As a Florida fan, Miles always seemed to have our number. Dude was the luckiest sonofabitch around.

That being said, their team is leaps and bounds from where it was. More unity, more intelligent playcalling, whatever happened they needed it. The guy was almost like the Richt of the West.

Had all the pieces, just could never gel them together. Fournette would be breaking so many records at so many other schools, but Miles mailed it in.

It was just the coaching. You obviously haven't watched much Les Miles football, but he would constantly play down to the competition, the 2011 season was the exception.
