Do you know why Arkansas is the Flagship?

Because even after a 4-8 dumpster fire of a season we are still the talk of the Rant, all day, errrday.

I seriously thought this might be a historical account of some bestowing of a nickname by a state official.

Is Arkansas is the "flagship" because a cute nickname is your best way to deflect from the fact that 5 different SEC teams have won 9 of the 14 BCS National Championships?
