There is a possibility that a few teams will get to unleash their revenge on us this year. I hope not though.

Easy question. Yes. There are many instances when an SEC team losing an OOC game helps LSU's cause.
If Georgia and LSU are ranked #8 and #9 respectively on Thanksgiving, and neither will play in the SECCG, LSU should root for Georgia Tech to beat the Bulldogs to increase the Tigers' chances of a BCS at-large berth.
I'm also rooting for Boise State to beat Georgia because I love the BSU hype (mostly because of the constant bitching about it on this board, which I find entertaining).

The FSU-UF game is great fun for me.
I have friends who are die hard fans of both. When I am around the FSU fans I cheer UF. When I am around the UF faithful I cheer FSU.
It's hysterical fun.
I always cheer for the SEC team against an OOC opponent.

Funny this question has been answered in the negative so many times. That's one of the strangest things about the SEC, we will gladly root for fellow SEC teams (including rivals, that means you Gerogia) when they play OOC games. Most cons won't do that.

I do occasionally if it helps Bama's position in the polls. That's about the only time I do it, though.

When I pull for UT I don't know if I'm pulling for UT or Dooley. It's probably the latter b/c I didn't really care for UT when Kiffin was the coach.

I root for the SEC against OOC teams because it may help us come bowl /BCS time. Once we get to bowl season, I always root against bama. I work with some gumps. I pull for everyone else though.

I thought all of the SEC rooted against Auburn.
If I combine your thought with CPA"s signature quote this almost makes sense:

Auburn - hated by all other SEC teams since 2010

Yes I root for SEC teams to lose to OOC teams sometimes, mainly in bowls
Why?
Because I'm not a lemming. F@%k that group think bs. If I don't like ya when LSU plays you, then that's that.
One of my fav memories is laughing in UT fans faces when Lord Peyton and UT lost to MEMPHIS of all teams.....I laughed and laughed and I'm laughing right now

No, but I consistently did root against one team in particular when we were in the Southwest Conference. Come to think of it, I still do.

I root for SEC in OOC, unless their loss is going to help my team.
Of course I live in a city with a Big East team and within spitting distance of Big Ten country so it's really easy to say frick all those non-SEC asshats.

More times than not I root for the SEC. Last year, when Ole Miss lost to Jacksonville State I was actually pulling for JSU.

Hell yes if it benefits Alabama.
