Absolutely not and will never donate to NIL. College sports are a shell of what they were intended for and will enjoy watching it all burn to the ground, football especially.

No because it's a lousy investment.
The best that could happen is my team wins a Natty. I say woopty-doo to that.

I donated to LSU's NIL fund after Bryce Underwood left us at the alter. It was a sizeable contribution (for my standards) and it helped me tremendously in my ranking for football ticket relocation selection time, which was my biggest goal regarding that donation.
I completely support helping LSU be more competitive in the NIL arena but I do not support the tax exemptions states, Louisiana included, are putting forth for NIL earnings though. For this reason, I will be donating monthly to TAF instead of NIL because I still want the perks that come with that (priority points, etc). I realize those funds will likely find their way through some back door process to NIL anyway but at least I can justify donating to TAF in my mind. NIL is a complete shitshow right now and until they figure it out, I won't be giving another dime to it.

I don't believe in paying young men to play a game. Especially ones that can walk at a moment's notice.

35-40M is quite frankly insane. If you don't win it all, what an incredible waste of money

I really don't care to contribute to a system that has significantly reduced my enjoyment and viewing of CFB.
I may be more interested when they decide to add some sanity back into CFB. I just see the golden goose slowly being killed by the year by year (sometimes month by month) mercenary system.

Nope, I contribute money to my family and me, and not enough to my church (need to do better on that)

If you add Sark and coaches salary, Texas is spending somewhere North of 50M to try and win with Arch Manning. He's gone after this year. Give them an A for effort. And an F for unbelievable stupidity

I contributed $20 for about 2 months and then told myself I was being stupid and quit. They don't need that shite. Especially now that revenue sharing is going to be the pay. I suspect that the NCAA will do away with collectives soon and make NIL only permissible when it's from advertising and such.

Was $20 enough to summon the call center stalkers? I’m trying to find the sweet spot.

As an alumnus, they call me regardless. I just don't answer any calls that come from 662-915-xxxx numbers.

Went to a fundraiser recently that raises money for special needs summer camps, so they have proper medical attention, etc. and we made a substantial donation. I got to thinking how ridiculous it is to give money to NIL collectives when there are so many other things worth supporting. If college athletics goes down the drain because I’m not giving to the NIL so be it. No way I’m giving to that. If my merch and tickets purchases aren’t enough so be it.
Do you give to NIL and if so why?
Hell fricking no. I couldn't sleep at night if I spent money on things like that while real people are in need.
