It's just the bullshite that surrounded this season that is the difference.
I know, it's a lot more impressive that Bama could keep it together for such a dominant run in the most trying of years. It will likely never be repeated

Yet another year that ends with Bama No 1

Florida, A&M, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State were all considered pretty good.
Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Kentucky beat ranked teams in Bowl Games.
so I guess that schedule wasn't "awful".

How many conference championship and playoff wins did lllllsu have?
LSU didn't make it to the playoffs this year.
I was simply pointing out that in order to be the GOAT, you need to play a historically difficult schedule, rounded out by defeat of a clearly superior team in a championship setting.
Bama wants to tout their regular season as unprecedented, but let's examine it a bit. They played 10 SEC teams, of which only 3 ended up with winning records (Georgia, A&M and Auburn) (compared to 4 out of 8 for LSU in 2019).
Bama then played Florida in the SECCG, a team that started the season 7-1, but lost its last three games and really had only one signature win (vs Georgia). They managed to win a game 52-46 against a team that had just prior lost to a mediocre and severely depleted LSU team, at home. Compare to LSU - they beat #5 Georgia 37-10. Georgia then, instead of getting destroyed by Oklahoma, won its bowl game and finished in the top 5.
Then Bama played Notre Dame, a team that had just lost the ACC Championship game to Clemson.
Finally, Bama played Ohio State, a team that had run through an impressive gauntlet that included 6 games against teams such as Rutgers, Northwestern, and Indiana. To their credit, they soundly beat Clemson.
In the end, Bama played and beat 5 teams that ended the year ranked. In 2019, LSU played and beat 7 teams that ended the year ranked.
To their credit, Bama did everything they could - they won every game scheduled, and were dominant. But the field they dominated against was weak compared to the one LSU faced in 2019. And for that, they are not the GOAT.

I was at this year’s game A&M kicked LSU’s arse all over the field. It wasn’t near as close as the score indicated..one LSU score in garbage time. LSU is damn lucky Kellen was off. Had he hit all his open receivers it would have been a monumental arse whoopin. But the bigger question is how are the LSU T-shirt fans gonna react when they get banned from the bowls for the next couple of year by the NCAA? Is that why all the rats are jumping ship over there?

No cares, stop by and take a look at the trophy if you can ever afford a trip to Title Town for a Bama-LSU game.

Only when we played in Baton Rouge

You need to get your facts straight dumbass. Only two winning records we beat 4 of the top 6 teams in the country, 6 of the top 12. And oh yeah LSU, of course everybody else beat them too

Before you go calling people out, can you highlight the 6 teams that Bama beat in the Top 12:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State.
3. Clemson
4. Texas A&M
5. Notre Dame
6. Oklahoma
7. Georgia
8. Cincinnati
9. Iowa State
10. Northwestern
11. BYU
12. Indiana

I’ll allow this ! Waiting for the response ??

Our destroying all of them except Ole Miss and Florida probably had something to do with them appearing awful to you.

I count 3/8 for LSU in 2019, unless you include .500 records then 2020 Alabama played 5

Auburn

A&M was 4-4 in the SEC. If you include them for LSU 2019, then 2020 Alabama played 5 SEC teams with a winning record

I didn’t say anything about a winning conference record. I just said a winning record. But if you need to change the guidelines then that’s fine.
Here’s one:
In 2019, LSU beat the following conference champions:
Clemson
Oklahoma
In 2020, Alabama beat the following conference champions:
Ohio State

It very much feels like they spent the whole year trying as hard as humanly possible, not to win the conference and CFP, but instead to out-do LSU’s 2019 run.
It wasn’t that LSU won it all in 2019, it’s that 2019 LSU leapfrogged every single one of Bama’s title teams and took its place within the top 3 all time college football teams, in some instances being called the best team ever.
Bama couldn’t handle not having that honor...so that became their goal.
And as soon as the game was over they were out there trying to convince everyone that they had done it. They said things like “nobody has ever won 11 SEC games in one year!” As if nobody would remember that this was never an option until this year, and that Bama, LSU and Georgia are the only teams to ever play 10 SEC games in a season. As if nobody would remember that had LSU swapped out their OOC schedule last year and added two more Eastern Division teams, they would have won those too.
So all in all, they tried their best, but the sheer lack of prestige associated with anyone on their schedule (yes including LSU) left them short. This year has an asterisk, and just like the Dodgers and the Lakers, it’ll be remembered in history as a quirky season...and then everyone will quickly remember - this year wasn’t like the others, and while someone had to win, it just wasn’t enough to place historically at the top.
