Had this debate several times last offseason, and was surprised how strongly Bama fans felt.

Are Bama fans finally willing to acknowledge that the SEC's best tackle (for the second year in a row) is an Aggie?

Is this one of those things where one person said it, so you claim that everyone said it?

No, there was a solid faction of fans.

Not enough to tell if it was a majority.

Then why will Matthews be drafted higher?

I'd like to see a link to that discussion.

Still looking.

It's going to be awhile I'm afraid.

Honestly though, never watched Matthews much so I don't know who is better, but Cyrus didn't have a good season IMO.

I had Bama fans telling me McCarron was a first round draft pick too. They often buy into whatever BOL is putting out. VolNation is full of delusional people too... so I suppose we all have a fair share of loons.

No, but I want to know if that train of thought still exists.

Entirely fair question.

The best tackle in the SEC was Greg Robinson.

Not by any measure.

I still feel like Cyrus has a higher ceiling than Matthews.

Cyrus actually had a great year... and one really, really bad game. Didn't give up a sack until the Oklahoma game.

Really? He was good for a false start and holding every game it seemed like.

Robinson is better than both so it doesn't matter.

Again, not by any measure or any professional opinion.

Please stop.
