Do you not grasp the concept of critical late game situations? 3rd and Chavis is about long 3rd or 4th downs or needing any stop late with the game on the line. His teams often fail in this situation despite being suffocating throughout the majority of the game. Even in a win last year against Ole Miss, his defense was phenomenal but ole miss was moving the ball the last minute before a terrible throw by Bo Wallace.
it is not about general 3rd down conversion rates as you try to simplify it. It is about critical defensive stops. There is a very large difference and an obvious trend. LSU fans denied when he left UT as well. But, the trend is very apparent.

You want to call him 3rd and Chavis? Fine, I doubt even he cares.
But we can be sure that 3rd and Chavis is lightyears better than the 1st and Sny_er we had.
And we have an offense with 2 5 star QB's and 3 5 star WR's. we can come back like we did against Arky.
